Hey Warriors, I have been trying to research and find good mobile app development companies to work with. Basically, companies that I present an idea too, work with them on developing the app, they build the app and market it, the profits are shared. Does anyone know what the best app development companies are? Thanks for any and all suggestions, Donnie |

Have you looked at Elance? I know it's not always as easy to find the good stuff at Elance, but when you filter at 5 stars, minimum 20 reviews and look past the cheap ones, you'll be able to find plenty of good ones as well |

Odesk is another site you could check out. There are a lot of developers on Odesk looking for contract work.

Hey there! I've been outsourcing for the last 3-4 years. Read my blog post, It will give you a lot of tips in the strange new world of app development. First of all, NO DEVELOPERS will work on a no-pay basis. What could work is they give you a discounted work price in return for equity, or like you said profit sharing. It's very hard to keep outsourced workers motivated for a long period of time, so even if you did pay full price for their work and added on profit sharing.. you will have an employee that will stay focused on the long term result and finish work with better quality, faster, etc I've worked with a few app developers in my time. I could recommend you one I worked with on odesk, just PM me. I did work with an American company called Avenuesocial, and they basically gave me a quote on devleoping the app and completely outsourced the development and project management to a team in Pakistan... that's not the way you want to do it! |

While there are some developers who are willing to work simply for a cut of the profits, there are very few of them. However, don't let that discourage you. Your best bets for finding someone to do a deal like this would be to find a local high school or college kid who knows how to code and working with them. It will look good on their resume and might make them some spending money. They will be much easier to get on board than an established development company. Best of luck! |

Hi @HooverPublishing "Basically, companies that I present an idea too, work with them on developing the app, they build the app and market it, the profits are shared." I think this is a pretty poor deal. Basically you're saying: 1. The developer/company has to make the app for free 2. The developer/company has to spend his own money marketing YOUR app 3. The developer/company will only get paid if it makes a profit. You offer no equity and you don't offer the developer/company any say on how much of the revenue gets paid to him/them. I have two words for you. GOOD LUCK. What developer/company would think this a good deal? But assuming your serious about finding a good agency/developer, I would suggest looking at TheyMakeApps.com. If this is a funding issue; why not find out what start-up funds, accelerator funds or development funds are available in your area for your app -- and if that fails, try Kickstarter. I'll finish on this. Do you believe in your app enough that you're willing to spend dollars (start up costs) to make it happen? Because if you don't, then who will? |

Take a look at FundedApps - Bringing Brilliant Ideas To Life You submit an app idea to them. If they accept the idea, they'll pay you a few hundred dollars upfront, develop your mobile app and then pay you 25% quarterly profits on the app. I haven't personally used them so I can't say I know much more. |

I know that I will work for a portion up-front + revshare, but never 100% revshare, especially if I have to invest my own money to market the app. At that point, I did virtually everything other than have the idea, which is maybe good for a solid $200 stipend if it hits 50k downloads and is monetizing well- and that's being generous. If you were willing to offer a few hundred up front plus at least 75% revshare (keeping in mind that they're doing literally ALL of the work), you might have something. Honestly though, you're better off bringing some sort of elbow grease to the table. At least spend a few bucks on Fiverr to make it seems like you're contributing something besides an idea (which most good developers, including myself, are in no short supply of). | |

I came across such a site a while back when I was looking into building my own app. You create the idea, the app etc, and the team will look at it and market it. I have no affiliation with the site, but did think it was a good concept they had. Here is the link: How It Works - AppDesigner.com |

Odesk, freelancer or good techies in the outsourcing business and many similar individuals can do this kind of Job. More over lot of resources like those are available in huge. But the point is, there's surely a difference to work with freelancers and work with an organization. Do you agree? I had the experience on both the sides. But few good experiences and few bad experience on both. I worked with innoppl.com for quite a long time, im feeling comfortable to work with them, Good Quality , deliver on time, good support etc..Try with them. |

With hundreds of quality tutorials and guides out there, honestly the need for hiring a company does not seem like a wise investment. I would suggest you take up a short term course as a long term investment. Create as many app as you like.
