Hello, I am a newbie, and I was told to do some mobile advertising using Admob. I then started poking around on the internet and I was told that many people were not having success with admob. Is there some other place that I could use that would be more successful? Or is Admob successful and I just heard all of the negative comments. Please help. |

I've used Admob before with moderate success rates. I made back what I spent plus a small amount of profit. I'd say it's worth giving it a go but make sure you spend time creating an enticing advertisement.

It would be tough to say about the cost in fixed terms. There are two reasons for this: 1)If your mobile add goes viral on the internet and the social media sphere, the cost would mean nothing to you. 2)If your add is not much liked by users then it would be great loss to you in terms of cost. I agree with Webworkssolutions that you should spend your time on creating an enticing advertisement. Or I would say you should invest your money and resources more on creating a great video. The rest will be done by the users who like your video content. Try to be more creative while creating a video. |

Try jumptap if you want high quality USA traffic or try Adfonic and Admoda for Europe and Inmobi for Asia.

Admob is a lot stricter than most mobile ad networks. See -> Owned by Google. Airpush and Leadbolt are easy to get started with. |

Do you want to advertise in apps specifically or on the mobile web as well? There is a difference as some networks, like Admob, do apps only now.

There are lots of mobile ad networks: Jumptap, Tapjoy, InMobi, Vdopia, Millennial, Mobfox, etc. etc. Do a quick search and you're bound to come across a lot.

You can easily advertise through Microsoft: Bing/Yahoo and Google Adwords targeting specific types of phones like the iphone, droid etc. It's really easy. Let me know if you need further assistance with this.

Admob is too complicated. They have too many rules that are a bit hard to understand. I'm using Mobfox at the moment. So far so good.

Try using a mobile advertising platform that engages the user instead of the standard display method - if you can find one. I was playing a football game the other day on my phone and the game went into "time out" and I received an ad. I thought it was very creative. And I remembered the ad.
