How To Have Mobile Sell Itself To Clients
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Many find it difficult to sell businesses on mobile. Some of the reasons I hear range from client's not understanding the value of mobile to them just liking the way their main site looks.

Here is one of many strategies that has produced excellent conversions for my company.

We offer to do free 250 business cards with a qr code on it. Our staff then scan the qr code on the card and show them how it looks. Next, we show them a mock-up of what a mobile version looks like.

Finally, we proceed to explain that since 100% of people that scan the qr code has to do it with a smart phone of some sort, they will bounce off if the website is not mobile friendly. Then we mention a few of the benefits of having a mobile website including the ability to do SMS text marketing, mobile coupons and social media marketing to name a few.

This works very well for us and forces clients to sell themselves on mobile once the see the value.

Our conversion is around 60 percent. Business owners understand ROI so we offer to design the mobile website based on the customer value of the business and details of the site. Prices range from $997 to $4997 but most are sold somewhere in the middle.

Great strategy! Selling mobile sites is all about "seeing is believing" taking some time to build a quick mock up demo site to show at your meeting always helps the sales pitch and should improve conversions.

Keep up the great work!

Absolutely, preparation goes a long way when you have contact with a prospect. In a nut shell, offering, something of value and knowing your business helps with conversion a great deal.

This is a really excellent way to promote mobile websites to local business owners.

Your 60% conversion is great.

Are you using mobile landing pages, or just complete mobile websites as the mock-up for demo purposes?
