Do you optimize your website for tablets?

Now that the new microsoft surface will be coming out, I imagine a lot of people will be using tablets as it makes typing easier. I also read how tablet users react positive to ads:Heavy Tablet Users Respond More Positively to Ads, Survey Shows | Adweek

Now some of my clients in the past only wanted to optimize for smartphones and not tablets such as the iPad. I think there should be some optimization for the tablets as the screen size is smaller than the traditional monitor but at the same time the tablet user can magnify certain areas of the web page.

It will be very interesting. I just hope the IE on windows 8 wont give any problems when optimizing for it.

As the market grows for tablets, will you change your design? Would love your thoughts.
