PHP server on a USB key for mobile sites

Here is a tip that many mobile web designers don't know and can be useful for productivity.
Most of us that are using PHP mobile sites have to login then, FTP to hosting php sites, if it doesn't look like we want, must edit and Ftp again... that is a waste of time.
A solution is to have it on your Hard drive but better on a Usb key so you can update anywhere.

Here is how:
You can download free a webserver on usb: The Portable Freeware Collection - Internet - Web Servers
My prefered is the USBwebserver one.

Buy a Usb key drive and install on it, launch program and you'll get a hosting like server on a USB key, copy your PHP files in a directory in the root and launch browser. Now you no need to FTP each time after you've edit your files but only when all is done saving a great amount of time. For better looking of website in your browser, use a mobile simulator and url will be like : http://localhost:8080/site

So now you edit your php file, save and check result on a web simulator, when all is done you can FTP to hosting.

Also you can build as many clients mobile site as you wish on the USB key (as many folder in root).

Also use to meet potential clients for mockup mobile site, just bring your usb drive with you.

I can even install a WP site on it, have mysql and php admin for mobile sites or regular ones using PHP mysql.
