Creative planning/development/marketing is my strategy.

First you must decide on an application that will be profitable, this can be done in various ways.

Then you would develop the application and offer as much value as possible.

There are quite a few ways to market your apps, some of them require technical skills while other methods don't. A real winning strategy is to promote your app on relevant forums/websites/blogs, this creates a lot of exposure but requires little technical skills.

Cheers,
Chris

Using Adsense (or mobile adsense) in a mobile app will ban your account.

It is actually a little different then the normal internet. A lot of networks aren't to fond of mobile traffic, while others suck it up like it was gold.

A mobile app should follow a development life cycle similar to other information systems..

The most obvious way of gaining money from your mobile app is to use paid downloads, in which you set a fixed price for your app, customers purchase it, and the transaction usually ends there. You could also seek an exclusive sponsor for your app. And finally, you can sell advertising space within your app.

IF you are going to make a complete free Mobile APP then you should
earn money from Ads on it otherwise you sell subscription or on time
fee for your service.

To earn more money Android is the best place at the moment and google
give you better share than Apple with less restriction to create your application.

You could use sites like revmob.com, everbadge.com and admob.com for monetization of your apps

I personally think the easiest way is to sell apps to local businesses. They all heard about them, they all have iPhones, they all use apps. But from my experience most owners have no clue about cost and process. If you simply call to the business most likely they will agree - either to meet you or at least give email address. Then you should show/send them simple presentation (can be found online).

If the price and sale skills are right you can make some cash pretty quickly. There are tools online for building apps quickly and they provide at least satisfying quality. I personally used few of them and would recommend biznessapps. Nice team with good support. Good features.

And for you customer it sounds fancy if his business will have an app. And at the end of the day it doesn't really matter if he needs one or no. Its just the way for another online presence for business so it will probably say yes.

Hey Jimmy
If you wish to earn from your app; you should have a creative idea for the app, execute it and market it over ad networks. Additionally you can run in-app advertising withing your app.

I am Daniel Jones, working in a Mobile Application Development Company as a Mobile App Developer. I enjoys exploring apps on iOS, blackberry, android and other mobile platforms.
