I made a couple of mobile sites for hotels with heavy Flash on their site but not every business owner care about how their Flash site look on a smartphone. Some people just don't get it no matter how hard you try. I once got the following reply from a hotel owner: "I know my site doesn't work on iPhone because of Flash but I will wait for Apple and Adobe to come to an agreement and solve this issue."

Lack of Flash support may be a good starting point for selling mobile sites, but the argument should always be the usability, loading time and navigation.

It's true some don't care, but at the same time some still do! Shouldn't stop you from contacting them anyways, because those who do will be very interested.

I personally think that is a selling point in itself.

Another angle for selling is that Flash can be tricky for web analytics in case customer has one of those full flash sites.

Well it doesn't if you are trying to view a website that has been built in flash.

Since iOS devices do not support flash, what we need to do is avoid flash while developing mobile websites, because if we wait for some agreement between Apple and Adobe then we will loose business for our customers. Do agree that the websites will not be having those effects but yet they will work.

I wouldn't hold your breath because it will never happen. Steve Jobs was quite clear about that. Apple see flash as outdated technology (which it is). Everything flash does can be done with HTML5 only HTML5 is a lot more streamlined and people won't need to download extra programs or updates.

Goodbye flash, it's been nice (not really).
