I have a client that referred me to a guy trying to do mobile marketing for his record label. I can put up a mobile site in the blink of an eye, but I can't think of anything right now to help this music company take advantage of having a mobile website outside of an SMS campaign to get the phone numbers of customers/fans. Any advice?

Well,, isn't that waht mobile marketing is? But, there's so many different offers that could be offered,, coupons, % discounts,,, maybe even an offer for advanced purchasing of new releases, etc. It's an imagination game. You're only limited to your imagination,,,, and,,, "borrowing" from what others are doing. (see what other record labels offer,,,,,,, for starters. Robert X |

I feel like Yoda now. It's always a good place to start by seeing what others are doing. Most great inventions are just improvements on what already exists. Ever heard the phrase, "don't try to re-invent the wheel"? Just make a better wheel. And as Pablo Picasso said,, "Good artist copy,,, Great artists steal" Me too, Robert X |

I have done one for a previous client; one thing they liked the most was.... 2 things that the client really liked were: 1. Integrated Demo Playerlist (just choose the songs and it plays it automatically) 2. Ringtone Download (I think you get the idea of what to do with that) It does not only create interactions but people keeps coming back. And I get paid biweekly to main that "mobile website".. Once you have your codes and everything setup.. It is just about editing the playlist/ringtone and copy paste new links in it Easy as Peasy |
The aim of marketing is to make selling superfluous. The aim of marketing is to know and understand the customer so well that the product or service fits him and sells itself.....
