I was wondering why there's no Mobile site flipping going on? Seems it could be profitable. Is there some variable to this equation I'm missing that makes it not as practical as it seems? ~Karen |

Good question, as I've not noticed very many mobile-optimized sites for sell on Flippa (although there appears to be a lot of regular websites about mobile marketing for sale there). If I had to guess as to the reason why (regarding the absence of mobile-optimized site flipping)... I would think it's because the primary target market for mobile websites are existing businesses, who want one created specifically for their business. And most of the sites for sale at places like Flippa are not for specific businesses... they are generic "niche" sites. I think as mobile becomes more and more popular, there will be more of a demand for mobile-optimized "niche" sites, but right now, I think the majority of the demand is from individual businesses that want a mobile site specifically for their business. |
