I have a Windows phone and it comes with explorer for the browser. Well,, I have been setting up sites and viewing them, and certain things,, such as the friggin logo (pretty much the most important part) would't show up on Internet Explorer. On my phone and laptop. Thanks to WillR, I switched to FireFox on my laptop but can you change the browser on a mobile phone? I looked breifly but didn't see anyway to change to a better browser. Does, anyone know if this is possible? Stupid IE. But thanks Will for helping me figure that out,, it was driving me bonkers. See,, this is why I pay to have stuff done. I'm kinda techtarded. Biz savy, but a tech tard. Robert X |

Don't forget you can also just use actual measurements for your logo and it will then work fine in IE. IE just has issues with the resizing of the image. I would be very surprised if you couldn't change the browser on a Windows phone. I wouldn't know where to start though because I've never owned one. Hopefully someone else can shed some light for us. | |

@robertx internet explorer requires a width and a height for it to display properly - set it within the image tag parameters by adding width="xxx" height="xxx" (x being the actual size of your image) if you are doing a stretchy logo you can still override it with css ie width: 100% i think that's what Will was talking about... hth jay |

Thanks guys,, So,, I know,, because I'm using your stuff Will,, that in the 'Logo" part,, it says to leave it as is. But,, what you're saying with IE, they require specific sizes? If stretch is (horizontal) side to side at what. (320) whatever a m.site is,, what would be the height,, being it says to leave it alone. (no height size) ??? By the way,, thanks again,, Robert X p.s. Everyone pay attention |

if you your logo is say 320 x 160 try something like this in your html put: <img class="logo" src="logo.jpg" width="320" height="160" alt="keyword"/> and in your style sheet add the following: .logo {width: 100%;} it should still make it stretchy... have only just woke up so need to test it but am pretty certain that it will now work in internet explorer as you expect it too with the above code yep i hate internet explorer mobile too! lol |

I used Opera mini before on my Blackberry and was not impressed. Maybe it's changed since then. |

Changing the browser is fine and you can find mobile versions of most browsers. The thing is customers will not change a browser just to look at your site so you need to work out what is happening. Try width 100% and then height auto should fix it. Q |
