Hi warriors, I have been doing mobile sites for awhile, and it's time to build myself a website to promote my services. I know there have been some themes sold in WSO's and done for you sites that have been included. Is there a stellar one you could recommend? Or one online that is a good example to pattern after? Appreciate it! |

Jay's stuff looks good. I've been thinking of picking it up. Does his WSO include a consultant site? |

Honestly, I've seen a number of these type of 'done-for-you' sites in the past and most of them look pretty crap and generic. If it were me I would be going to ThemeForest, choosing a nice professional looking Wordpress theme, filling the site with a bit of content, and bingo. Done. WordPress Themes | ThemeForest At least this way you end up with a site that is unique in both it's look and content. |

I know you gotta have one. I've been actually tearing down a pre-made site and have just been using it as a shell and as a kind of guide. I'm consulting with a friend from a company called Altium,, an Australian based company, and he's based in Boton. He is helping determine the types of questions big companies (and small) would be asking. Pricing Terms Hosting Multi year contracts Etc. etc. etc. \ Man,, things I would have NEVER thought of. He's tough,, a big wig in a multi-million (billion) dollar company. And he grills me. He bombards me with what type of questions his company would ask. They're world wide in a big way (engineering software, Any Aussies know of it?),, and he makes the decisions on like mobile websites and sms. So, I hope to make a little thread with what he tells me about. He comes to Cali every 2 weeks,, (my gilrfriend is his subordinate manager and we always go out with him) I grill him too. It's a huge amount of info and i will soon share it. So,, anyone else get any questions that they'd like to share? Rock On everyone,, I'm tryin' to help us all,, Robert X,, I'm like Robin Hood,,, I steal from the rich , , hang with the poor<<<< | |

While I think you can do a lot with the default WP theme these days, I agree with Will about Themeforest. Spend $30 - $40 there and you can get a wp theme that looks like something that would've cost $5k a few years ago. Just don't choose the same theme I just purchased for my site ;-) Steve |
