Anybody having any SMS success?
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hey warriors, I'm starting to have some pretty good results doing mobile flyers for real estate agents.

I want to be known as the "Mobile Marketing Guy" not the "Mobile Flyer Guy" though, so I do need to make my website and stuff a little more broad. Right now it just talks about the mobile flyer.

I'm curious what other niches are working for you guys? I need to expand and would like to know what is working for others.

Look forward to your feedback.

I've created QR codes and mobile landing pages - the landing pages would have a single call to action, usually just to like a facebook post or follow the twitter account. Have you tried that?

Mobile flyers for real estate agents are really good. I worked with the same kind that you are working on.

@Darrett - Congrats on the success. When you say "mobile flyer" do you mean a mobile landing page. If you're willing to share what exactly are you supplying the real estate agents with? Thanks.

Thanks guys, yes lint I mean landing page. I just call it the mobile flyer because that's a little easier to understand for the agents.

I create the mobile landing page for their listing with the home facts, photos, tap to call agent and social icon buttons. Then I hang up a sign rider at their listing with the text in for info & photos instructions.

Agents are pretty happy with the results right now, especially because they're able to call the prospect instantly when they're looking at the house.

This is a great way to get some clients and my foot in the door, but definitely would be a rough way to make a full time living. That's why I'm curious what other SMS niches I should be going after while I'm doing this one.

Oh great thanks for the information. This sounds like a great way to use SMS and mobile landing pages. Do you charge them a reoccurring fee? I would think you could make a nice income because they constantly have homes being listed. Maybe have a few different level packages (5, 10, unlimited listings per month).

If you don't have to physically go to the listing to hang your sign rider you could provide this to tons of locations. Find a good printer and have them send the sign directly to the office. Agents are on the road all the time so I'm sure they wouldn't have a problem hanging it themselves.

Your welcome, yeah I think it is as well. Yes I charge them for the listing and obviously have discounts if they purchase a larger amount. I do hang the sign for them just since I don't want to rely on them at all, but yes I only have to hang it the first time. When the listing sign moves I just have them give me the new property info and then I charge them for the new page.

I think you're right, that there's lots of money to be made because of the constant changing of properties, only thing is I'm brand new to this niche and talked to one client today who was hoping for better results. Only have had 1 text on his property in the last 2 weeks, of course I told him it could be plenty of other factors and 1 person could be the difference between the sale or not.

But either way I want to see a little more success before I try and get a bunch of agents, just want to see if it really works well enough for it to be worth it for them.

Yes, I have been in this for 1 month and now have over $2k in recurring monthly income. I am working with auto dealers. I am setting up the weekend shopper program with window stickers or mirror tags.
Today I closed a deal where an auto dealer is sponsoring a school districts hs football teams. Visitors will log into the mobile app to see the play of the week among 5 schools. Then sent to FB to vote. Winning school gets a financial donation from the dealer.
I am going to host the vids at Vimeo and build the mobile site with Lime's platform. All I have to do is add a preroll ad to each vid weekly and post to landing page. Also, setup text campaign, schedule marketing texts and monitor.

Darrett, what kind of signs are you using for this. Do you just get them preprinted with your reserved keywords? How do you charge?

tracourt that is awesome! So you're just focused on car dealers then, what exactly do you set up for them, a mobile landing page with all the vehicles? And isn't it tough selling to car salesman, those guys are the king of sales, lol.

Yes I'm using lime as well, and I order a sign rider to hang at the listing sign with my keywords on it, then it moves to a new property and I just change the landing page.

@Darrett - There are a few businesses that offer your service (text4info) for real estate agents in my area (Boston) but I am finding smaller RE companies who can use it.

Would you mind going a little more in depth how you get the sign riders made for each property. Specifically; price, material, how it is attached to the "for sale" sign. I feel offering a full service which would include landing page, keyword, and sign would be awesome to do around here.

Also, what price points have you been finding the most success with? Obviously, everyone will not be able to use your pricing due to a number of factors but I'd like to get a base to start with as I am hitting up several smaller offices within the next couple days.

Thanx!

Rock n Roll is BACK!

Best piece of advice I've ever received... "Listen, just shut the F*#^ up and listen!" (Because there's always going to be people who have been doing what you do/ want to do for much longer. Shut up, listen to them and learn from them)
