Hi all, I currently offer services such as web design, seo and ppc to businesses and I'm looking to add mobile marketing to my list of services. The question is, what mobile marketing services should I offer them? Mobile websites, QR codes, SMS text messaging, and apps seem to be the most popular. I'm just getting started with this whole mobile stuff so I don't know much about them. How do you create a mobile website? Same question for QR code. How do I setup SMS text messaging? How do I create an app? I'm trying to get into mobile marketing so right now I'm looking to add a QR code to my business cards that leads to my mobile website where I capture potential clients' info. Does it seem like a good strategy? Thank you for your help. |

It depends upon the region you are at, If your are providing services at some country like US (a big smart phone market) you can offer your clients all the services but if you are providing services for developing mobile market you can offer your clients for mobile websites. SMS campaigns and even application development services. Surf the forum and post your specific question for discussion. | |

Tell them you can create mobile websites for them. So many people are using smartphone now it's ABSOLUTELY dumb not to have a mobile version of your website... Then, offer to help advertise their mobile websites in mobile networks like Jumptap, Inmobi etc. But the advertising part is a whole nother thing to learn..... Be warned. :> |

You look super excited. That is good. Yes start with the QR codes. Try to add one product at a time.

I would agree adding one product at a time is the best way to go but I would also suggest browsing through the forum and reading up on the different types of mobile marketing. You may find your skill set is better suited for a certain type of mobile marketing. As WillR said, once you narrow down your options then you can ask a more specific question. |

You need to research and study and what few ever mention is the compliance issues. With mobile you MUST be sure you and any clients you have are 100% compliant using mobile devices to contact customers.

Search Google images for the term 'qr code' and you will see plenty of examples. They are just like the regular barcodes you are used to seeing on products at your supermarket. Instead these codes are used for marketing purposes to direct people to websites and other things. These codes can be scanned by people who have QR code apps on their phone.

Blog Entries: 163 | It is better to offer the whole list of mobile marketing services if you're going to add them to your portfolio. QR codes are easy-to-use and rather popular among customers, messaging can be also implemented through the mobile app – you can send push notifications and updates there. Here are some examples of business mobile applications that can be used as a great mobile marketing tool https://itunes.apple.com/app/id485133676?mt= 8 , https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/my-s...512913298?mt=8 , https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/amaz...491297003?mt=8 |
