I was hoping that someone with vast experience in mobile marketing could offer some advice and opinions.

How badly and how soon will US and Europe laws effect marketing companies like Velti and Millennial?

I mean I've read that there are laws under consideration that will make phone sellers get written consent from customers for geolocations. There are other under consideration as well to do with companies like Velti keeping consumer data for target marketing.

Will these come to pass and how soon?

Are there any links or websites on the latest updates on these legislations?
