Building Mobile Sites - Stand alone business or just an add on?
Share on:

What do you guys think, is there enough money to be made by creating mobile sites along with add ons (SMS, QR, etc), to create a stand alone business to live off of or do you guys think that it is only really effective as an add on to a prior business?

I know people who only build mobile websites and make a living on them. So, it all comes to sales skills.

If you want to build a business you have to diversify. If a product or service is not working as expected or it's only a down period, you need some backup.

So I think you should really think about many services to offer. Of course you need to focus in a niche. Don't do 50 things at the time...

You will always get jobs in the Website design business (Standard or mobile Website).

DON'T FORGET, THE MAIN BUSINESS OF THE INTERNET IS WEBSITES... :-)

Google Maps Contact Extractor, a google maps scraper software (Scrape google places data)
Yellow Pages Scraper software an easy to use Yellow pages scraper software
Yelp Data Scraper software, extract data from yelp website.
Management-Ware Extract Anywhere, Website data extractor software, create your scraper to extract data from almost any website. Door to door CRM software.

Websites should always have mobile version. You can have your own mobile apps to promote your business. Infact you can create it your self with various DIY mobile apps tools like App makr, app builder and infinite monkeys. There are more tools available online

I'm sure it can be done stand alone but I combine it with other services, diversity and all.
