Mobile Marketing GURUS! Need your Help!

Hey Fellow Warriors,
I have a question in regards to mobile marketing. I would like to know how to set up the system Mobile Monopoly is based on. For those who do not know the program, it is a clickbank product and it gives you the ability to store cell phone numbers and also be able to send mass text messages. It gives a number to each of the members. For example, it will give someone the number 23223. Then this person can use that number to gather cell phone numbers. So, someone will type "restaurant" to 23223, and the member will be able to store the number and classify it depending on the word sent. And then mass text message the same group of people. Basically, I would like to know how to develop a platform like that, and how would I be able to get the 23223 number (who do I have to contact or where do I have to go).
Thanks Warriors.
PS: BTW, it is not to put competition to Mobile Monopoly, but to implement it in my mobile marketing efforts for my local businesses.

You'll want to find either a reseller of "white label SMS provider". Google that term and the first result is a number of warrior forum posts you may want to look at, or you can search for that term in the forum directly and that should turn up some options.

A few company names that come to mind are Trumpia, Avid and Lime and you'll get results if you search for them by name here too.

Some people also use long codes which would be a full unique phone number, not a short code like "23223", and I believe most use Twilio for that and you'll find a few WSOs here about that as well.

HTH,

Steve

Hi,
I bought local mobile monopoly a long time ago but did not like the fact that it includes services for which I have to pay each month.

So I got me Zenden, ontvangen en verwerken van SMS en MMS berichten via ActiveXperts Software SMS Messaging Server which is a nice piece of software. Also a mobile USB stick and a SIM card with unlimited SMS.

Then I programmed the SMS Server, set up a database and it worked fine. I must admit I have 30+ years programming behind me so for a novice it might take a bit longer. Or substantially longer. Also that SMS server is not cheap with about 1400 dollars.

But it worked fine. The only problem was nobody wanted the SMS service. I am not a salesman. So I cancelled it and forgot about it.

Cheers

Interesting concept. This looks like something I might like to try and figure out for my clients.
