Hey all, I just wanted to say "wudup?" And let you know my most successful campaign that I have done in the mobile niche. I made up a mock up site of a potential clients site and sent them an image of their site along with a mobile version of their site. Personally, in my opinion,, this is by far the best way to sell mobile sites. Seeing is believing, Robert X p.s. my kitty is laying on my keyboard |

I found that using this method you create a lot of needless work for yourself. Your best bet is to create an "industry" demo. So for example a fake dentist, hair dresser, law firm, restaurant etc etc so you can show these to clients. Another example would be past work. If the client sees your quality of work, past work and maybe some testimonials, you shouldnt need to create them a mock up. I've only done work for a client before they pay if it's something theyre really interested in but cant really see how it fits their business. Then giving them something they can see and "hold" in their hand sells them. Also, never ever EVER create a mock up for a client BEFORE getting in touch with them. If anything, call and say hi I made a mock up, who can I show it to etc then when they say yeah show XX on thursday when hes in, THEN you make the mock up. Please do not waste your time making a mock up for a client if they dont even know what it is.. Hope that helps. |

Just go to Craigslist or Backpages and post in the services section. There are millions of businesses and webmasters who will gladly take on your mobile website services.

Sometimes the owner of the business will do nothing when they see a demo site with the niche site... but when they see THEIR OWN site... well their eyes start to bulge and their hand goes to their wallet. Just my experience in this.

I agree with Roberto, instead you can show them a couple of demo sites and when they are interested, guide them in the 1 on 1 meeting to a squeeze page on your phone or on a desktop and show them what their website looks like in mobile phone simulator and on your smartphone. They see true value when you point out pros/cons of a mobile website while looking at their own website and then what it might possible be!

Some claims that I don't have authorization (permission) to use their logos and copyright contents, other says that I want to force them to buy my mobile site and wanted that I remove all the mockup site on the way. Lucky it was just a few like 3 biz owners since I'm in this business. Most of them will tell you great but not interested and you must tell them in advance that it's a mockup and will be deleted as soon as he says No. Otherwise putting demo sites with same niche doesn't really Bang! | |
