Is there any data available regarding the average revenue gained per new customer/client broken down by profession? It would be nice to market a potential mobile client by saying "Did you realize the average revenue gained on each new customer for dentist is $x"? Thanks in advance. |

per new patient. Focus on what you can do to bring those new patients to them.

While I am sure industry averages are available I think using them hurts you. When you don't know you ask and from that conversation you build a relationship with the prospect. You also show yourself as a true expert. Remember anyone can google for stats. A true expert knows that averages don't matter only the real numbers for that specific prospect. Use the numbers they provide to show them the value. |

I politely disagree. My other job is in the healthcare realm and if someone came to me and asked the exact same question, I wouldn't know off hand. I'm sure I could find out if I really wanted to know but its not like a dentist or chiropractor is sitting there calculating revenue/patient. We as internet marketers are always thinking in terms of #s. 95% of people including those who make a ton of dough via their professions. don't. In fact, most practices use outside accounting services who handle all of that data and the dentist collects a paycheck. Still looking for info... |

you have any reason to know. I think you assume too much. I've dealt with many small business owners in the health care field... that's what a dentist or doctor is, you know... a small business owner... and I've yet to meet one who doesn't know their numbers. Many of them have graphs and charts on the wall in their business offices. These people are not ignorant of the numbers in their businesses. Like I said... you need to focus on what you can bring to them. They'll know what to do with it when you bring it.

By the way... you mentioned chiropractors. More than all the others, chiropractors will know their numbers. |
