I really need a solution for my retail customers which involves the ability to use PUSH NOTIFICATIONS to stay in contact with their existing customers. Mobile Apps are great for android by not so great for Iphones. I've been searching everywhere for the best "simple" solution. Web Apps seem like a good solution but the push notifications are complicated. So far this looks the best but I haven't purchased yet and I'm not affiliated with this product: http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...rontier-4.html Does anyone else have a solution for Web App pushes. Thanks, Marshall |

HI Marshall The only way to do this is create an Android and Apple App. PM me if you are interested as I create apps for local businesses. |

Push notifications can only be made to an installed app. The WSO you linked to requires the end user to install an app onto their device to be able to get push notifications.
There is more of an explanation HERE
(^you can if you write your own but the same can be said for push notifications) | ||

As fellows said above, what you're looking for doesn't exist, at least not yet. You need a native app to push notifications to users. With that said, my agency is currently offering iOS and Android native apps at awesome rates, and they include targeted notifications. Drop me a PM if you're interested, will you? |

What types of messages are you planning on pushing out to them? Would you be able to accomplish the same thing via text? |

Not sure if this answers your question, but if you mean you want the app to notify them without them opening up the app first, it can't be done. You can certainly push out notifications into the app once customer launches the app. I have a paid app that was developed for me on both Android/Apple platforms (not native) and it pushes out notifications as news items within the app - I can change the push notification easily on my site - and my app pulls the news from my website. Not sure if that answers the question |

Skybuilder - research that I used it .. it's one of the best platforms - the app design concept is really simple and worth it

Hello It is obvious that the iPhone device(of customers)must be registered to recieve push notification for a particular app. However this is not hat practically possible. so the best thing is develop native apps that usually present a UIWEBVIEW( For iPhone device) to the user showing your web app. |

I agree but this case is not with those apps that are designed for both iPhone and Android devices.

Have you considered an SMS Text campaign with link back to a mobile landing page ("This Week's Special")?

If your thinking of selling Mobile Website and Mobile Apps to local business you might want to consider building them a new Mobile Web App. It's like a 2 in 1. See this new WSO about it here: http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...ox-mobile.html |
