Question about Earnings Disclaimer in Android Apps
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hi

I have just uploaded my first apps to Google Play, just a quick question.

Let's say I have an app with 100 Websites listed that offer Guitar Tutorials etc... Obviously some of them will be affiliate links.

For those of you with apps do you put affiliate disclosure text in the app ?

And do you get an email when someone installs your app ?

You don't necessarily need to declare affiliation at all. However, for best practice, use 1 liner disclaimer in the Description in Google Play. No need for it to be included in the apps
You do not get any email when someone downloads, unless you put a lead capture page there. You may try to giveaway some ebook or free stuff and capture the lead if you want.

There are other ways to reach your audience (who have downloaded your app). It's called Push Notifications. They are not SMS. Way better and cheaper too. If you wish to know more, PM me. Hope this helps

I would just put a short line mentioning it on the description or on the page linked to from the 'privacy policy' on the play store.

Thanks

Adding to description sounds good.

I don't think users read the description much mind you as I have had 2 downloads today for an app aimed at the UK users and they were from outside the UK ! No doubt they will probably delete the app !

Yes, it happens all the time. No one has time to read anything. They just browse and download stuff which they think they want.
