Like many here, I have purchased most of the mobile site builders and have the generously offered mockup builder for mobile sites. The mockups are certainly faster to put together than the mobile sites I can build for prospects, but I was wondering what most of you here are doing. I also wonder how the response rate differs between the two. I would expect to get a larger response from businesses that I go ahead and build a small mobile site for rather than a much simpler mockup. But, if the difference is small? Thanks, Alton |

I do the full blown mobile site. However before doing this I call them to ask permission to email them this. Once they say yes u build it and email them. I then follow up with another call and email if needed. I seem to land about 4 sites a week.

That's awesome CNC, Would you mind telling us what sort of fee structure you are using? How do you get them to agree to the demo site? Based on the numbers that I am thinking...4 sites a week would more than replace my income. thanks Adrian |

Interesting, because I have not heard of calling them first. That certainly would help weed out some of those not interested. About how many agree versus those that don't agree to allow you to email the site to them?

I post something similar earlier. That's the big problem with ready mobile sites or mockups, some will tell you to remove on the fly and even get angry saying you are using their copyright content, images and logo without their permission. They will also feel like you force them to buy your services. Worse is if you send to a list, they will think you spam. But here is a simple tip: Contact them ask permission and tell you are doing free, no obligation (a $..... value). Now they will see that it does have some value because of work and as far as it's free no-obligation, they have nothing to lose. Of course full functional website is better over a photoshop mockup. |
