SMS Marketing - Backend Question

Hey everyone,

I've been looking around Google and the Warrior Forum trying to find information on the back end systems of SMS marketing. I have a potential client base in a very narrow niche that would benefit tremendously from SMS text marketing. But I can't find any information about HOW you provide the SMS services to clients once you sign them up.

Nearly everything I find on Google are companies doing reselling of SMS services at wholesale per message rates.

Is there any turnkey system where you can buy (or subscribe to) and then set up accounts for your clients and allow them to manage their lists, etc?

Any info would be great, thanks!

Sounds interesting. I've never seen such platform.

It would be great if you provide more details here.

Jeremy,

There are many companies you can turn to in order to provide this service. I would recommend Lime Cellular myself as they appear to offer the best value for the service. But look into a few and compare based on your needs now and in the feature.

Just a couple more notes here -

Aaron, The companies that you mention are the type of white box resellers that Jeremy mentions finding through Google searches. I researched and tested all of these last year when I was still thinking that I could get a white box and be in business. You are correct that they are all good, and could include Trumpia in the top 5 also, however, none think like an internet/direct marketer and none provide the service that Jeremy is looking for without doing the white box thing. They also (excepting txt180) have a fairly steep cost of entry if you don't have immediate customers to add to your client base. The white box resellers would work for Jeremy, if he is willing to suffer through the learning curve and manage his own program. None of these platforms integrate voice broadcasting and sophisticated IM style functionality and benefits. Ultimately, this is why I decided to develop my own platform (painful), which I have been working on for 14 months now.

Hostplate, my platform will only be available in the US and Canada at the time we launch. I scaled this back in an effort to accelerate the programmers to finish things, so that I can launch it. It looks like you are in Sweden, is that correct? If you are in the US or Canada and would like to participate in the alpha testing please PM me. When we go to beta within the next month or so I will post here on the Warrior forum for beta testers. No reason to really detail the things yet, until we are ready for beta.

Thanks for the replies folks, and sorry for the delay in getting back...I'm looking at developing something over the next couple of months, so I will keep the Site Steering project bookmarked as well!
