Had to turn OFF my mobile plugin to display videos on Ipad

So here is a problem I actually never thought about.

One client claimed that the videos in our members area are not displaying on his Ipad.

I had to turn OFF my mobile plugin to make the videos accessible.

So how can I have a mobile friendly site and at the same time my tablet and Ipad users can access the videos in the member area?

G.

P.S. I used the Wapple Architect plugin by the way.

Why were the videos not accessible with your mobile plugin turned on? Any half decent mobile website builder should allow you to display videos on the mobile site and the video player you use should be HTML5 so it will work across all devices, including tablets and mobile. EasyVideoPlayer is one such player suitable for this. There's no point in a mobile site if the content is not accessible so that seems like an issue Wapple need to address fairly urgently.

Maybe your member was running an old browser?

Hey Will

thanks for your input.

I actually was very surprised by that issue too as in my point of view a Ipad or Tablet access should not get redirected to the mobile version.

Anyhow, I was not able to solve it and ultimately turned the plugin off.

Now my partner could access the member area with videos as supposed.

Think I have to get another mobile plugin which does NOT trigger tablets and Ipad's etc. only real mobile phones.
