Hey, I'm looking to start a new company that focuses on developing mobile apps for local businesses, I've identified a around 10 niches that I know for sure will benefit greatly by having a mobile app created. And I have many ideas and strategies for increasing business through mobile apps. I was looking for any recommendations on any training or courses that focus on creating mobile apps for small businesses? I no there are many courses and training available on creating and selling apps on itunes but I can't seem to find any that focus on creating apps for businesses. Any help would be appreciated. |

Hello It is literally a true fact that to get the business to hands of thousands, you need to develop a good mobile app and starting a mobile app developing firm for small local business, is a real good idea. However you need to take the following points of consideration, while going for developing mobile app * Make a proper decsion on which platform (android, iPhone, ipad etc) you want to develop your mobile app. * Make sure to discuss all the aspects of your mobile apps before you start developing them. * Once you are done with the development of mobile app, you need to go for unit testing or test thoroughly for any issues and then after go for its release. Above all, you need to hire some dedicated and talented app programmers who may have some good experience on developing unique and sophisticated application, rather a high quality mobile app. Basic programming knowledge you need to have to develop mobile apps are: * Good understanding to Java( required for developing android and iPhone apps) and .NET( required for Windown mobile platform) * Some knowledge on XML Some of the tools which may help you out while developing a mobile app: * MyAppBuilder: Once you have this tool, you need not require any technical knowledge to dveelop apps. It will create an android and iPhone app for you. all you need is to provide what all contents you want to put. * RunRev:You can use RunRev's live code to develop iPhone and android app * MobiCart: This will help you out to build an M-ecommerce store, which is what the main focus point of your app development business. Hope this must have helped you to some extent. |

Might be worth signing up for lynda.com too as you get to download some exercise files that are great to get you going. Before you go out there and start touting for business though, you need might want to consider to develop mobile websites too, as Apps are great for keeping current customers coming back to the App for latest content, but mobile websites are better to generate new customers for these businesses. Feel free message me if you have any questions. Maybe we can bounce some good ideas off each other. Cheers Gary | |

From what I have discovered, local businesses benefit alot more from a mobile website rather than a mobile app as most people searching for their business and still using the web as a means of search rather than an app store
