In a 2012 interview, Noah Elkin, the senior analyst for eMarketer, revealed some fairly shocking projections for mobile phone usage in this country in 2013. I haven't added the whole article here but you should read the rest of it: Mobile Marketing: New Innovations and Why You Need it in 2013 Mobile marketing is on my 'to do list'! |

In this era when almost everything is "on the go", mobile marketing would really be effective especially to people who have smart phones. However, when technology changes most of the time, mobile marketers should also be adaptive to changes, meaning they should have unending plans.

Techcrunch did an article earlier this week about Facebook mobile users - Facebook Mobile User Counts Revealed: 192M Android, 147M iPhone, 48M iPad, 56M Messenger | TechCrunch It says that "Facebook Mobile User Counts Revealed: 192M Android, 147M iPhone, 48M iPad, 56M Messenger" - The first thing that comes into my mind is that you have 330 million people seeing and clicking on shared links that go to mostly non mobile ready sites... wonder how many of those visitors will bounce because the sites they go to have no mobile presence at all. That's a lot of potential revenue people are losing right there. |

You have to consider smartphones and mobile marketing in your strategy today, but you also have to be aware that even though it's growing, you may not have a large percentage of people who use that platform to access your content. When technology travels, everything changes. Here's a post I wrote for MediaPost which tackles why smartphones are going to change the message: MediaPost Publications Getting Smart About Smartphones 05/15/2012 Regards, jim |

Mobile Marketing is where its at and will be for the foreseeable future along with video, I have made most of my money in the mobile marketing industry via mobile websites, QR Codes, integrating it with social media and location based marketing aswell as mobile SEO. Alot of businesses competitors just dont know whats going on so my clients are seeing great results and are leaving their competitors well behind. I have brought my skills more online recently though and been helping businesses all over the world take advantage of something that will be even more disruptive than the original internet. Its only the beginning!!! |

I thought i would never watch tv/movies on my phone but from time to time i do... especially if one of my kiddos has stole my ipad! lol but sometimes if i am on the treadmill or just winding down for an hour ill pull it up... i dont see anything wrong with it... its not like i spend hours and hours doing it... more like 20 to 30 mins I guess because its not needed here in the US to watch live TV on your phone... i just launch an app! | |

Wow! That's good to hear. I'm so happy for you. I just recently learned about this stuff when I read the book "The Social Mobile Marketing Guide for Small Business" and when I read in one of the replies in the forum "In Truth, Has Anyone Made Money Selling Mobile Sites to Offline Clients?" about the Mobile Movement also. It interests me so much. It only shows that business owners SHOULD really have a mobile version of their site or they will be left behind.

With the ceaseless growth of smartphone manufacturers and users, it is indeed a good idea to venture and to engage in what we call the “digital age,” not simply because you have to go with flow but for you to be able to reach a large number of audience and to widen your marketing strategy as well; especially in the present time where web browsing activities and business adventures happen within the pocket-sized units and thin slates of the “digital people.”
