Hey warriors we recently developed our own mobile website template (it is unique I am sure than what most of you are used to seeing) and are still doing a lot of work on it. It has a little ways to go but it is ready to start being sold if our eyes. I would love some honest feedback on it though so if you could visit these urls from your smartphone and let me know what you think that would be great! bitpress.co/ceo bitpress.co/omboys These are just demo sites so far (yes we have already sold a couple of these templates too). |

One thing I would definitely change on the second one, would be to take the white background out of the 'Get Directions' button.

I like the slides effects but menus are missing some "glams" like logo, icons or colors like interior pages needs pictures too. Looks too similar for both sites. |

looks pretty good. i personally think the icons are too small on my iphone 4s for the ceo site in portrait. whats wierd is when i turn my phone to landscape mode the icons get bigger i do like the slide in/out menu, pretty cool. i think would be nice if you could swipe in and out of that, like most of the apps that implement this type of menu do (spotify, fb, wunderlist..), or at least have dead space area be clickable to toggle the menu. (currently, the only way to toggle the menu is to have to tap the icon menu, but perhaps this is a design decision?) also, for whatever reason the sites don't score well on w3c mobile checker: http://validator.w3.org/mobile/check...co%2Fomboys%2F and for what its worth, its kinda slow to load according to mobitest....(omboys was over 7 seconds) do like it though. sites do look a tad 'sterile'. maybe a little more color? not sure, but looking good, much better than anything i could create from scratch! |

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I am trying to get the designers to make it so we can change colors and logos, backgrounds easily but I guess the way this is built to function more native on phones makes it harder to do, I guess. I'm thinking about ways to make the sites more distinct from each other. PS we built this as a wordpress theme! |

dagger - Just wondering why you would build this on a wordpress theme? I develop website in it all the time but it tends to not lend itself to mobile design easily. Especially if you are going to be making any modifications. Please PM me as I have a development platform that I would love to share with you. It is simple and affordable.

I think you are misunderstanding this is a wordpress theme we built, we didn't build it on a theme. As in we can give it to any client or install it ourselves and you instantly have a mobile website that acts like the facebook app does now with the unique slide out menu.

dagger, I did completely misunderstand that. Are you marketing this to the masses or just to your clients and for yourself? I would love to get a review copy of the theme and give you input on its design if you want. I have been developing all my web designs in wordpress for 8+ years now and develop in nothing else. Very interesting concept.

So far just the clients and ourselves, I think it may need more polishing before trying to make an IM product out of it although I haven't seen a mobile template out there like ours yet.
