TOOK THE FIRST JUMP TONIGHT

I have just opened an account with this company text marketer and im based in the UK. I am funding my account with 2000 text to start me off.

I HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS THO.

Does anyone else use this company for sms marketing in the UK and whats their thoughts on them.

Also has anyone had success using their free keyword for their first campaign.

here is my thoughts and i got the inspiration from a thread i have read through a few times now by MoBuzz. Im going to use facebook and other means to promote building my own optin list. This will hopefully get me in the door with clients that will in turn want to to build their own list but if they dont that is ok they can keep paying me to send them blasts out to my list. I think if they send their first sms coupon out to my list and they get a good return they will jump on the chance of building their own.

Another question would be if you get say 8 to 20 businesses with their own lists and keywords how do you keep track of which is which i am guessing i will either select a keyword that resembles the business or have an excel spreadsheet with them all on. ie, keyword with business name address and contact info.

for billing well im not 100% sure what to charge yet. i have gave my self till 1, April 2013 to get a list built up for my self before i send any blasts out for local businesses.

Is anyone else in the UK doing this if so what kind of figures is reasonable to charge.

I was going to use paypal for billing and try and collect payment in advance for the month. This will mean no contracts and come the following month they can either pay for another blast or not the ball is in their court. If i charged a business £75 per month for 1 blast of my list as a recurring fee i could be able to get at least 30 businesses renting a day from my list per month thats would be £2250 per month. Is £75 expensive or too cheap for this service.

I like to have things planned out so i will try to schedule the deal to be sent out on the correct date and time ie sit down on sunday and schedule the weeks campaign this will give me time to collect in the following weeks campaign and again come sunday schedule them all in to be sent. This will be a little side earner for me if it plays out well as i work full time already.

Warriors im open to any help and advice so please feel free to give it where you deem it necessary

I have an account with textlocal paying 2.6p per text. They have a really cool dashboard much better than textmarketer.

You can also build a mobile webapp and send push notifications to a subscriber list .....

Here's a link: http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...-frontier.html

Here is a post from a fellow uk warrior doing what you propose mate:

Updated from my previous post...

I have set up 3 local mobile websites offering Local Deals.

Visitors to my sites are subscribing to receive the latest deals and offers in my town, direct to their mobiles.

And, I have got 3 groups of subscribers totalling 4,800, through social media, word of mouth and some good old fashioned advertising. (See audio link below for some guerrilla methods I have used)

Local men and women, who want to receive offers.

So far, I have 11 companies - restaurants, fitness, beauty parlours, night clubs and auto garages who pay me 200GBP per broadcast...

They each do 2 a month, and I'm ramping this up now because it is proving very popular to my subscribers AND to these companies.

There are some incredible strategies in this audio for implementing your own Push site in your local area. Real guerrilla stuff that will enable you to grow a huge list of subscribers, very fast, but also will make you a "hero" in your local community, and THE go-to-guy for marketing services!

Guerrilla Strategies for Offliners Revealed

No signup or anything like that required, but please share if you enjoy it!

By the way Andy, you are doing an amazing job. I have never known an OP who has taken so much interest in the wishes of his purchasers as you have through your continued work with the AR guys.

You bloody rock mate

Hope this helps pal.
