I am wondering if any of you Mobile Marketing Guru's have ever had a beer distributor use your services. If so, I would like to speak to you as I have a local distributor who is excited to get started, but I need something to WOW them. I am struggling with this client as they don't typically market to the end consumer, but to the retailers.

Are they now planning to market B2C or will it continue to be B2B. And if it is B2C will they be selling it or will they be offering pass through deals to the businesses? |

As the owner stated, "I only care about selling more beer"... One idea was 'scan here to get $.50 off your Bud product' etc. Neither one of my current platforms can do this and track back to each establishment (restaurant/bar) without using a 'landing page'. Also, I am not in a market which can support only smartphone use Vs. SMS use. I am at a loss. |

Sorry, to answer your question, they are willing to give a shot at B2C but through the retailers.

Hey MobileMight - Distributors often have promo items that they can give to their customers (the restaurant, bar, salon, etc). For example, a hair-care product manufacturer may offer a great deal on sample sized shampoo/conditioner that the Distributor can either purchase inexpensively and offer as a promo to the salon (or sometimes these are no-cost). The salon can run a campaign that promotes the FREE samples. (i.e. Text HAIRY to 82888 to get 10% off color and free shampoo) - of course, this is an example I just made up. Talk to the Distributor about details and restrictions... In the Restaurant/Bar business, Distributors can often expense out Sports promo items (jerseys, helmets, caps, balls, etc), as well as branded apparel (hats, t-shirts, etc). So - let's assume that: the Bar wants to pack the place and sell more food and drink. the Distributor wants to pack the place to sell more beer, etc. consumers want to go out to a fun bar where they can drink, win prizes, get stuff for free... So - what if your Distributor offers prizes that can be given out during a Game, for example? The Bar can offer a promo that says: "Come Enjoy The Game With Us and Win Prizes!" The platform I use has a Raffle style campaign where the Bar Manager can "Pick" the winner from the pool of people who signed up at the event. Depending on how many "Prizes" there are, the Bar Manager can keep picking winners... maybe a few during each quarter with Big prizes given out at the end of each quarter. Essentially, the Distributor becomes your Strategic Partner. You make what you make on the SMS side, the Bar gets a crowd and sells more food and drink, the Distributor gives away Branded and other valuable prizes - branding and helping you sell more of their product... Win Win Win Hit me up with a PM if you'd like more info on the SMS platform that I chose (after testing 8 major platforms over the past 5 years) Great thinking, btw - go get em! |

Many major brands use SMS mobile marketing, I wonder if it has to be a beer distributor to win this business. Plenty of great case studies out there
