I'd like to display rotating images on a mobile site, either with a 'Slider' or a Gallery that rotates the images. I'm not very 'technical', but I've bought some mobile-site-generating software and I've been able to build a few pretty good-looking mobile sites with them. Unfortunately, none of them allow me to add sliders or galleries that'll rotate images. Can anyone recommend either ... A.) some software that will build mobile sites with sliders or galleries that'll rotate images or B) something like a plug-in (if there is such a thing) or some code or script or whatever that I could buy and somehow add into the mobile site code generated by the mobile-site-generating software I have (like WillR's mobile software)? Thanks, Richard |

That has nothing to do with what he is talking about. He is talking about an image slider for his mobile website... not a simulator. |

Will - Something weird is going on here ... or maybe I'm losing my old mind! I could have sworn that, when I first read your post #2 (above), that it said I *could* add sliders using a WSO of yours - which you didn't specify, other than saying that I should refer to your sig line. I posted a reply (my 'original' post #4) saying I was confused because you answered my PM last night saying I could *not* add sliders to your mobile sites (ones I created with your mobile site WSO). I searched my PM history, found your reply, copied it and returned here to edit my (original) post #4 by adding the copy here. But when I returned here, it seems your post #2 had changed. It now says, "That has nothing to do with what he is talking about. He is talking about an image slider for his mobile website... not a simulator." First of all, since your post #2 is the first reply to my post #1 that starts off this thread, to what or to whom are you referring when you say, "That has nothing to do with ... "? Secondly, did you change your (original) post #2? Thirdly, I deleted my original post #4 and replaced it with this version of my post #4. In any event, Will, I take it that I can *not* add sliders (or galleries that rotate images) using your mobile site WSO (or any of your other WSOs) & that you don't know of any way of doing that, right? I read this thread before and there was another member who was offering you a solution to your issue (originally post #2) and the link was provided on his signature. Will's reply was originally post #3 saying that you are looking for an image slider as the other member was offering a simulator. I guess this is what got you confused. |

He has obviously since come back and deleted his post after realizing it had nothing to do with your question. I never said anything but what is posted above. | |

@WillR + @Cobaki - Oh, OK. I didn't realize that you could delete your posts entirely. I thought only the Admins could do that & that WF members could only Edit their posts. Thanks for clarifying my confusion. I guess this is a little more involved than I thought, since I'm not 'technical' enough to implement a solution like @Valdor suggested (above), using those free slider scripts or whatever. I've found or been told about some mobile site software that can build out a mobile site with a slider. But it doesn't seem I be able to "match" the mobile site that closely to the client's desktop site, like I would be able to with Will's software & that ... sorry, I forget what it's called .. graphic image/header picker tool. But then again, I can't use software like Will's to do a mobile site with a slider. Oh, well. I guess I'll keep looking for a solution. Thanks for your help, so far. Richard |
