I'm targeting the real estate market and I want to give them a QR Code that is targeted to one particular listing. It will be printed on their sign. Later I'd like to take that same QR Code and, after that home sells, just re-purpose that same QR code so that it directs to a different URL. That way the realtor can use the same sign again on another property. Anyone know how or if I can do that? Can a QR Code be reused to point to another URL or do I need to generate a totally new one each time? |

The simplest way to accomplish something like this would be to get ahold of a url-shortening script (e.g. YOURLS: Your Own URL Shortener) and create a link to the page that you want. Then create a QR code to the shortened link for your realtor's sign. Then whenever the property sells, you can just login into your script's backend and change the shortened link to the new destination. HTH ND |

You'd want to search for companies that offer dynamic QR codes so you can switch the link after creation of the QR code.

If you use a redirect (either in your cPanel or a separate software redirect) then you can change where the QR code link is directed to without the ned to change the QR code.

Why was your signature file linking to a domain owned by someone else?

Why not just create a unique QR code for each listing, it would take the same amount of time as typing a redirect url?
