It would be tough to sell something you don't own yourself... :-)

Absolutely, and it will amplify your selling efforts if your site is impressive.

Yes, you should; otherwise, potential clients will wonder why it's so important to have a mobile site if you don't.

Why would someone trust you to make them a mobile site, if you do not possess one?

Yes, that would be a given, in order to be effective in marketing a mobile product you should have a successful implementation of that type of service. You see Mobile products all the time and all they provide is a demo, usually a sub domain, I find it interesting when these sellers do not provide a "real life" working example of their own product. A sub-domain "demo" does not really demostrate how effective the product will or will not become. |

Honestly, with smartphones becoming more dominant, it is not absolutely necessary to have a mobile website. However mobile websites are a bit more user friendly because of the setup so it is nice to have. |

These days a mobile site is a big advantage as the number of people using mobile phones to browse the internet is growing massively. There are different ways of achieving a mobile site. You can: 1. Have a separate mobile optimised site and then link them with a redirect script. This detects if the user is using a mobile phone or desktop. If they are using a mobile then it diverts them to the mobile site. 2. You can have a responsive website that changes how is looks based on the screen size - so it is one website that 'responds' to the screen resolution of the browsing device 3. You can have an 'adaptive' site that has a mixture of a separate mobile site and a normal or responsive site and it works like number 1 but is only the one site. Hope this helps. |
Why was your signature file linking to a domain owned by someone else?

You want to have a mobile optimized site because more than half of your traffic is going to be coming from mobile phones. Having a mobile app is just a plus as it allows for you to build a loyal customer base that you can get to spread your marketing message for you. Just make sure you are getting the right people to download your mobile app. |
