Apple’s Affiliate Program Expansion

Quite often the question of how much profit app developers can generate on iOS platform almost entirely focused around making money on developing and selling apps. But there is the Apple’s Affiliate Program - https://phgconsole.performancehorizon.com/login/itunes, which recently has being expanded. The thing is there wasn’t any sound announcement and for the most part it did go under the radar. Here is the quote from the Apple’s website:

“We're introducing a new affiliate platform partner, PHG, which will support the Affiliate Program's expansion to more countries and provide improved reporting tools. If you are currently participating in the Affiliate Program in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Australia, or New Zealand, you will now be supported by this new platform. To continue earning commissions without interruption, set up a new affiliate account and update all existing links by October 1, 2013. Join now or learn more.”

Have you ever considered using this program as an additional revenue source? Certainly given you have a website with a certain amount of traffic to make sense of this idea.
