Hi Warriors, If any of you are building apps for local business owners, what are your price ranges? With all the app builders available now, it would seem to me that the prices we can charge will be dropping due to lower pricing from competition in the marketplace - and also due to ease of delivery. Any feedback would be appreciated. I poked my nose into this business about 2 years ago, but I did not pursue it. I am looking at adding this service to my portfolio, but I am doing my market research first. Thanks Warriors!! BJ |

I guess you can charge anywhere between 500$ to 2000$ depending on the business owner...

Don't put your thinking in that box. You're not an "app builder" or a piece of software. You're a solution provider. The businesses you're targeting don't want to learn or fiddle around with mobile app builders. They want someone to do it for them. And they're willing to pay.

We encountered a business prepared to pay (£1500) $2340 per app! And wanted 2 apps for their 2 businesses. I offered them a no brainer, 2 apps for $1499 each and they snapped our hand off. |

what kind of app are you building for local businesses? Isn't it just a mobile website?

The mobile app development cost is totally depends on what kind of app and the level of design you’re looking for.

If it's a simple app, you can charge around $2,000 but it's really up to you on how much work, time, and money you invested on it. I agree that it will depend on the design, development, and in addition, testing of the app. What kind of app are you developing, by the way?
