Should I use gsm modem base software or web api for marketing usign sms?

I am planning to start bulk sms marketing for my product. Should I use gsm modem base software or web api for marketing usign sms? What would be cheaper and effective?

It really depends on your requirements if you want to send bulk sms quickly you can use gsm modem but its bit costly. Other option is web based api in which you wont have to buy gsm modem just implement api and you should buy number of sms from the supplier.

I think i would prefer to use web based interface because its pretty easy to customize and cheaper option for me.
