@mobiusman - What mobile redirect are you using initially on your desktop site?

You need to have something that prevents the redirect from triggering for returning visitors - ie by using sessions or a cookie

You will find some redirects have you prepend a certain variable at the end of your url for returning to the desktop site that tells the script not to redirect.

most good redirects will have a solution for doing this

I'm using this:
Ozette Plugins Simple Mobile Redirect Plugin –
This plugin allows you to put in a full path URL to redirect mobile traffic to

Looking at their screenshot it looks like you have the option to check a feature called redirect once... give that a go it should do what i was referring too earlier.

ie prevent the redirect from activating for returning visitors

Hi. I have just now activated the "redirect once" option and set the cookie to last for as little a time as I could "one day". But as I'm now cookied I can't test it myself for another 24 hrs. when the cookie expires.

Could you give it a quick try on your phone and see what it does?

Thanks a heap. (If you can't do it now I'll understand)

You may have code issues inside your platform. What mobile website builder platform are you using?

Friendly advice, useful tips...

Hi there Mobius

you have an additional "<" at the very beginning of the document, don't know if that's related to this issue but it sure shouldn't be there.

Anyway I don't think this plugin is "ideal" as it doesn't allow you to manually decide if you want to go to the desktop version (why should you wait 1 day?!? That's silly! . You should find something better and more flexible - can you add JavaScript to your site?

Cheers,
Silvio
