Mobile marketing is basically marketing but you're trying to reach people through their mobile phones. It's not a saturated market yet so those who get into mobile marketing first and do it well would have an advantage. Another great thing about mobile marketing is you're able to reach a more targeted audience, depending on your strategy and the content your use. The challenging part would be determining your market and creating a campaign that takes to consideration any technological limitations.

Hello, Consider using PayPerCall as one of your mobile marketing techniques. The advertiser of an offer is rewarded with a live caller on the other end of the phone, which is ideal for a sales situation. If done successfully, you can even setup a PayPerCall campaign and allow it to run auto-pilot. |

The truth about mobile marketing is all about innovation and technology, what is hot today can become obsolete very quickly, everything changes so fast that in order to stay up to date you literally have to do research daily.

As John correctly said, "mobile marketing" means trying to market product and services to potential customers through their mobile phones. Why this is so "hot"? For two main reasons:

I think most marketers now accept that there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach, and the decision should be made based on the business needs and aims of individual companies. However a new report from Compuware suggests that consumer preference is strongly in favour of apps (85%) ahead of mobile sites. The most common reason for this is that apps are seen to be more convenient (55%), faster (48%) and easier to browse (40%). Benefits of mobile app: - Interactive: Mobile apps can be interactive with features like Push notification - Location based services: With Geo-tagging location based offers can be sent - Speed: Mobile apps run much faster than mobile websites |

In an article today at ZDnet PayPal spoke about digital payment systems saying, "Mobile is Everything." Mobile marketing will replace traditional marketing methods sooner than anticipated and at a rate that is projected to be phenomenal. A very large chunk of the retail market will be dominated not by just mobile marketing but by large scale mobile commerce.

The simple fact is that nobody opens email anymore...at least, not all of them. Everyone has their cell phone attached to them all the time and read texts pretty much instantly. Not to mention, it's rare to change a cell phone number and you can't type in a fake cell number to optin to something, so you're quality of prospect increases right out of the gate.

- Instant delivery - 100% deliverable communication (compare this to email which has typical open rates of 3%) - 92% of people keep their mobile with them at all times (day and night) - 73% of people WANT to receive offers by text - Most messages are read within minutes - Send a text and have customers arrive at your venue within the hour or within minutes to your website A very powerful medium this is, people are logging using devices while in bed, usually the first thing they do is to logon from a mobile device? |

Users today carry their mobile phones nearly 24/7, and their phones area unit typically turned on most of the time in addition. this suggests that the person receives your messages or ” push notifications” the instant they're sent. though the mobile device is on standby mode, the message are going to be received the moment the phone is turned back on. thus in contrast to the other ancient promoting strategies, mobile promoting is a second medium for reaching bent on a client base.

Another fun statistic is that the sales impact for mobile (in the US) has increased with more than 125% per year over the last years, and it's projected to continue the same way for the next few years. As of 2013, the US sales impact from mobile reached about $200 Billion. This is estimated to double by the end of 2015. |

The mobile trend is going to continue to grow. Most people nowadays have busy lifestyles and are always on the go. Smartphones in hand. They don't want to waste time. They want quick detailed information. When more business owners realize this they are going to jump on board quickly. That's great for some of us. |

Mobile marketing allows you to reach a highly targeted audience and have direct marketing communication with a variety of different customer groups. and also unlike other devices, mobile devices are mostly owned by one individual who carries their devices at all times. As a result, customers can check your marketing messages and campaigns in a real time.

Benefits of Mobile Marketing *Immediacy Mobile campaigns are easy to create and execute; messages are delivered to recipients within seconds. *Affordability No need to pay for postage, printing or air time, just a nominal per text message fee; prices are very modest and they decrease as volume increases. *Distribution Reach out to people all over the world. Delivery is almost always guaranteed, unlike email, direct mail, and other forms of advertising. *Response Rate/Effectiveness The average respose rate is approximately 15%, versus 2 - 3% for other advertising mediums such as direct mail. *Personal /Targeted Content is targeted to individuals who have opted to receive them; the medium provides the ability to customize the brand message to a diversified audience. *Mobility/Reachability Messages reach recipients wherever they are. No need to be by a TV, radio, computer, or mailbox; phones are within our reach 80% of every day. Interactivity Provides the ability to reach customers 'on-the-go' and create highly effective two-way communication. Marketing Campaign Integration Provides the ability to integrate new, innovative forms of advertising/promotion with existing strategies to enhance their interactivity and impact. Quantifiable Campaign results can be tracked thru downloads, page visits, customer opt-ins, and a variety of other methods as well dependent upon the mobile marketing method being utilized. *WOW Factor The mobile marketing medium is still so new the largest percentage of potential customers have not yet seen it firsthand, this allows your firm to establish itself as a leader in your industry and insures your messages will achieve higher impact with their target audiences. *Viral Potential The ease with which mobile marketing messages can be shared increases the potential for your message to be shared with new audiences/potential customers at no cost to you. |

Everyone's using mobile devices these days more than desktops. One can go online almost 24 hours in a day with Mobile. It only makes sense to optimize for mobile devices. Try to look at how your mobile traffic look like. You can see it in Google Analytics. If you are getting traffic but very high bounce rate. You might want to improve your site and make it a mobile friendly site. Who know? You might take that high bounce rate down and then get more traffic from mobile devices. This won't affect your desktop traffic. So, you are only improving to get more traffic from a different device, which, I think, is a bonus.

The topic is really hot, which is quite natural as according to Google more than half of the search queries are now coming from mobile devices (the stats are even more impressive in terms of traffic!), and the numbers tend to go up slowly but surely. So this is more than a significant part of the audience to be reached. What`s more - Google now starts focusing on your website`s mobile version primarily, so basically, your mobile rankings may start having a great impact on how your website would rank in general. Prior to the off-page activities there`re a lot of quite simple on-page improvements you might want to think over: obviously taking a mobile-friendly test, running a comprehensive audit of your site`s mobile version (improving the load time of pages and checking the crawlability of all the resources for mobile bots) and so on, as actual usability and used-friendliness is crucial for attracting the mobile visitors. |

| What Mobile Marketing Strategies Should You Adopt for 2017? 2016 was the year in which mobile marketers used chatbots, artificial intelligence, mobile videos, location-based marketing and augmented reality in an attempt to lure customers to their brands. 2017 is likely to be just as exciting as 2016 when it comes to innovative mobile marketing strategies. Here are some of the upcoming mobile marketing trends that you should be taking note of as a marketer in 2017: Mobile marketing will no longer revolve around apps alone 2016 was a year in which marketers widely used mobile apps for their marketing strategy. However, some recent statistics say that 80% of all the time a user spends on their smartphone is the same bunch of apps. This statistic tells us that customers are slow to download and utilize new apps. To target customers that are refusing to download apps, marketers are looking to tools like SMS marketing among others. Coupons are set to be king in 2017 Mobile coupons are used ten times more than their printed counterparts, according to recent market statistics. Also, studies say that mobile coupons encourage buyers to make purchases more often. Mobile coupons have been known to boost customer numbers by as much as 40%. They are also popular with the tech generation, which is expected to have a purchasing power exceeding $200 billion by the year 2017. A large number of marketers are looking to coupons to help them drive up sales. Expect mobile wallets to be targeted by marketers Mobile wallets have long been a payment option – but they’re only recently being explored as a marketing avenue, through innovations like personalized loyalty cards and location-based advertising stratagems. Lack of IT resources will hold back some marketers Some marketers are going to continue with the same strategy in 2017 that they did in 2016, citing lack of IT resources that is preventing them from marketing innovation. If you’re a business owner and still don’t have an app, it’s time to get one or risk losing out to the competition. Our expert developers can work remotely for you on a short-term basis at an affordable rate so that you can give your business the leverage it needs! |

Hi Robert, Mobile is a huge space, so I've focused on texting specifically. Hopefully the below will help you in your quest to learn more about mobile marketing. SMS text and MMS (picture messaging) are captivating, and delivered through the single device that never leaves our sides, our mobile phones. Short codes enable you to send hundreds of messages per second. Landline texting allows your customers to call or send an SMS text message to your existing business phone number. Mobile keywords collect subscriber phone numbers easily and send responses automatically. Engage your subscribers with bulk texting, two-way texting, mobile voting/survey, appointment reminders, etc. Given the above, a lot of businesses are now moving towards a mobile text solution to either market their services or products and in a lot of other cases we have a lot of corporate communication now moving towards SMS because of the high delivery and read rates that text messaging has over other channels such as email communication. |
