SMS Messaging [Elite Thread]
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hello to me fellow Elite Mobile WF Members.
First I want to thank all of you for even this thread, everyone on here is so helpful and informative. I have a very easy question, I did search it in here but need an updated answer. My life has a new beginning and I just completely changed industries now starting fresh and brand new. My last industry got shut down by some hipster that had VC funding and he basically wiped out all of his competitors.

I would like to know what SMS Messaging companies do you guys use? Basically if someone wants to sell SMS to businesses. What are the best companies out there? How does it work, is it an online portal you give to the client and they can send out SMS to get leads?

Also, for the people that provide this service what do you guys charge business owners for this service? Monthly fee? Is there a preety good markup?

From the bottom of my heart thank you and please give me your insights.

Lime, Avid, Anchor and Trumpia are all pretty good ones as well as a few others.

Web portal...
Yes. Each company has a web portal that you log-in to. From there you have "super admin" abilities to manage all your accounts / client.

You can either fully manage a client and charge more to do so. Or you can give them account details and let them manage their own account. They would have the ability to log-in to their account and send, schedule, build a mobi, filter contacts, buy additional messages or keywords etc...

Your clients will only see your branding and will never know that your are a White Label. It's a good market and you could do real well. I do know that some new regulations have just been implemented in regards to SMS so you may want to look into that also.

Hope this helps!

Hi Zach,
I'm a SMS solutions developer and I write everything to work with Twilio. I can't say much about any others because they do what I need at a reasonable cost.

I target a K.I.S.S. method for the products I develop and they are straight forward without a lot of bells and whistles. I decided to go this way after talking to many about three years ago. The biggest item I got was that many systems had way too much and the end users felt intimidated.

Twilio works well in the USA, Canada and the UK. They are currently working on Australia as well.

Hope this is useful info.

Best Regards,

How does the process work with you? Is there a monthly fee? setup? So I know how to pitch this product. Thank you

Yes. All the companies I listed are US based. My biggest recommendation would be to get a demo account for any service you are looking at. From there test them out and try to compare apples to apples.

After you familiarize yourself with a couple of platforms ask your friends or family to try using them while you explain the process. After trying to walk a few people through the systems you're gonna know which system is best for you

Oh... Don't get too hung up on the pricing. If the value is there your clients will pay for it and also YOUR service to them. Don't just sell the SMS service.

Wow just wanted to say thanks guys.

So any new recommendations? I talked to a few companies but they were so expensive, and high setup fees.

What is the best one out there? Good price and good value?

Any new good feedback or advice?

Thank you

I partnered with a company, they offer services in USA and Canada.
They have a good SMS Messaging platform integrated also with a complete Mobile List Building System. You can resell their services with clients to use themselves, or provide the service.
What I really like about them is that they offer an affiliate program paying 100% commission.

Affiliate links aren't allowed.

Unless you have a coach that will work with you 1-on-1 to get your business up and running, plan on a 3-to-6 month learning curve.

If going it on your own, consider selling your consulting & management services as your primary cash source while connecting your clients directly to an SMS platform provider as an affiliate. This way you won't have to make any big investments up front in a white-label platform only to discover that you don't have the time, inclination, or resources to grow your business.

If you do well, you'll have recurring monthly revenues that you can decide to re-invest in going white-label yourself so you can earn up to 500% (or more) margin on SMS credits.

My resellers offer generous life-time commissions on accounts. They can even create special promotions that only you as an affiliate have access to. Message me if interested.
