Thank you, is this made with just a regular mobile website creator? Not an app correct?

Hi...I did not create this, just so you know, but yes it was done using an online platform and it is a "mobile website" and not a native app.

Is there a platform to create these that only charges a one-off?

Here's one I started, but never finished Gold Coast mobile wedding invitation

As usual I get distracted by another project, and only did the index page as a demo.

The menu items just needed to be linked to the various relevant sites, but as every couple would have a different venue for the church, the reception etc. I thought the index page was sufficient to show couples.

I was going to put a QR code on jewellers' counters foe when couples came in to buy their engagement ring, but procrastination is my middle name!

Here's a straight businee one I'm working on, Broadbeach Gold Coast Australia, but I just can't get every page to show correctly on a mobile phone. I've asked for help in another thread, but no replies as yet.

I had bought one on here a while back and never could get support full php true mobile and I had to do a bit of clean up on code to get it actually running could of been server settings, php versions etc,not bashing anyone. Not sure if still around though. Check it out and never really promoted as lost interest too much time on something. I have seen some other ones popup in the market but has not been a business model, though looking again as mobile just keeps growing and going no where we need a solid simple ecommerce setup tried a couple and was disappointed in the features and or results.

Peter, looks pretty cool and simple though how do you manage the pages or listings is it manual?

Your post inspired me to get off my backside and actually finish Broadbeach Gold Coast Australia, which I have now done.
Yes, it's all manual, all done by me, including the websites of the businesses.

Now I just have to check that all the links work.

The idea came from Don Alm, who had seen a site www.muscat.mobi, which uses a directory plugin.

I always follow up on Don's ideas - people rubbish him, but if you look beyond the claims and unique writing style, he certainly has some great ideas.

I thought the Muscat index page looked pretty good, so re-created it from scratch in HTML, mainly using a template from Quentin Brown.

To my mind, the Muscat site is not as good as mine, in that by using a plugin, all the businesses necessarily have a sameness about them, while with mine, all the sites look different. A lot more work and hassle, but I think the end result is worth it.

In response to questions on "How To Organize The Restaurant's Pages"....click the top 2 Categories in each town (American & BBQ)

You'll see how they're organized with Tap To Call, Menus and Maps.

I run a few business directory sites but never thought of having directory sites for mobile. Sorry for my ignorance, but can my existing sites be just transformed for mobile devices..
