This is my first mobile ad campaign, as well as my very first thread, i just wanna say hello to all warriors, you guys have done phenomenal job at providing excellent information to noobs like myself and the rest of the world. I launched the first campaign at buzzcity for testing on 12/19 as you can see in the screenshot below, The beginning parameters are: - 3 banner sets - CPC 0.01 for all 3 - Daily Budget at $5 - All channels except adults. ----------- event log --------------------------- 12/20 the next day, i got 1 conversion from each of banner set 1and 2, so i deleted banner set 3 for not converting. 12/21 ~ 12/24 only got 1 conversion for banner set 2, increased cpc to 0.02 (both sets) 12/25~ 12/27 got 2 conversion from banner set 1, deleted banner set 2, increased cpc to 0.03 12/27 ~ 12/31 got 1 conversion for banner set 1, cloned and deleted the original set 1 , narrowing down the channels to only include entertainment/mobile content, which are the only 2 channels making conversions. Increased the CPC to 0.04 1/1 ~ 1/2 got 2 conversions. However the cost has far exceeded the revenue. Paused the last the set. The CTR is pretty consistent the whole time. Averaged CTR is close to what's shown in the screenshot. --------------comments--------------- 1. I know i must've made a lot of newbie mistakes along the way, please feel free to point them out, I'd love to learn more from you guys. 2. It feels like this campaign is lack of the momentum I expected, at first i thought it's probably because the CPC is low , so the banners aren't getting enough impressions, but as i gradually increase the CPC, and the conversion rate pretty much stays the same. 3. For the last tweak, which was to narrowing the channels and increased CPC to 0.04, i found that although the impressions and clicks has been scaled up, but the CTR remain almost the same. eCPM went way down due to the increased cpc and low conversion rate. 4. I check the click log from buzzcity, and found couple clicks were generated almost the same time, from the same IP, same phone, etc.. Is that normal? or possible fraud?:confused: Final question, Should i continue to test and tweak this campaign? if so, how? So far, - spend $14. 12 - generated total of 800 clicks, - total conversion: 7 - total revenue: $12.04 Thanks, Best regards Mike |

Hi Ok I think you stopped the campaign to early. You need to have at least 1500 to 2500 clicks before you get any real pattern emerging so that you can decide the next move. Question. What tracking are you using to record the data? I usually allow for 1 conversion payout 5 to 10 times in daily budget. eg Conversion payout $1.00 I allow $5.00 to $10.00 testing budget at least. Try to understand you market better. This offer look promising but get some tracking in place and increase your daily budget to get the data you need to clone the campaign and try to get the ctr above 2% Pm me if you want more info. You still don't have enough reliable data. You need to continue testing.

One more suggestion here - on Buzzcity, for those kind of countries, like Oman, you just don't have enough traffic. so basically, you're competing against your self on a VERY limited amount of traffic, might be a good idea to work with several accounts on Buzz, running each version of the campaign on a different one.

that's indeed a good idea.what if say, instead of running different campaigns, i pick out the one that performs the best , and duplicate it into several identical campaigns? just a thought.

No... that will just kill your traffic - you'll basically be competing against yourself!

Good start but like everyone else is saying you need to collect a lot more data. In mobile you need a large pool of conversions to be able to make the right changes to become profitable. Speak to your rep at Buzzcity about increasing the amount of clicks for your campaign but I'd look into other mobile ad networks. The middle east is still a great region for mobile, try finding a regional one with lots of traffic in that area, look into AdFalcon. |

What Tracking do you use ? Hard to optimize blind. And Buzzcity does not allow you to turn off specific publishers unless you maintain at least a $200 budget and spend at least $50 a day for 7 days. And even if you get that feature turned on ( pubid ) you can only turn off something like 3 publishers. One bad publisher can eat up your daily budget and bring down your ROI pretty fast. You are close to being profitable and only having spent $14 ( really just lost $2 )...... that is NOTHING in mobile. Keep it running .. get better tracking... as for BuzzCity ..... without the pubID feature enabled ......... you are at a disadvantage. Contact your AM and complain.

See what time of the day you are getting your conversions...set a window of a few hours in buzzcity for the campaign to run ( make sure you do it in -8 GTM or whatever Singapore time they have). If I was you I would just use day-parting on that campaign, leave the CPC at recommended and use ALL the banners. |

spend at least 100$ to see normal data. Only in this situation you can really check performance.

What have you tested so far? It seems like you don't have enough data, you need to test more, test more LPs, offers, banners, wifi vs no wifi, etc.. Best regards, Nikola, CPA Beyond |

Anyone using Buzzcity is an idiot. Plain and simple. You might as well just throw your money away.

This campaign looks promising. Continue running it. In mobile you need to have a proper tracker - I recommend Voluum. Split test more angles - start with atleast 3 and make 5 banners . + 1 lander per angle. Spend 2-3× offer payout per banner. |
