My favorite targets for selling Mobile Sites to are restaurants with "Flash" sites. "Flash" doesn't work on mobile phones (At least it didn't a year or so ago) Now that I'm getting back into "Mobile".....can anyone suggest a way to find "Flash Sites" without looking at each site, manually? Thanks much, Don Alm |

Actually, most modern smartphones have the capability to play Flash content (via 3rd party apps / services). It's just that most phones don't support it by default anymore, because it's a dying technology. Most phone owners don't know enough about that stuff to even care though, so I think it's safe to say that the vast majority of mobile phones out there these days are not displaying Flash content. There's a few different ways that I know of to find websites that use Flash... Google Business Type + City "You need to upgrade your Flash Player" Google Business Type + City filetype:swf If you want to automate the actual searching / data mining from a list of business types + cities, then you'd have to write a script for that. Would be a trivial job in PHP, .NET, etc. |
