Hey Warriors, this is my first post ever here and I need your opinion. I'm in the midst of launching my new startup. I want customers to be able to text me, really my business, and I'm able to respond within minutes, along with being able to send out text messages to my customers telling them about deals, etc? Any thoughts? Thanks

| My favorite is using an online SMS system: look at this one its realy good: http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...-soon-end.html There are Email to SMS which is FREE SMS marketing and then there are paid for SMS messages, see Ferdiworks.com! Most paid for SMS like services and softwares use twilio, twilio charges 1/3 .75 of a penny for a sms text incoming or out going! I found that sms coupled with digital loyalty cards work best! Local Business and marketing $M$ Almost any business these days can use an SMS System! What kind of companies are using SMS messaging these days do you find? 1) Restaurants 2) Real estate 3) Clubs and Bars 4) Taxi and car service 5) Auto repair and auto sales 6) Any service provider 7) Pharmacies and drug stores 8) Local small businesses They only want to see how your going to bring them more customer clients and help make them more money! So you must show them how $M$ marketing can enhance their business and attract new customers plus retain old customers! That's why Loyalty card programs work well in the real world, they retain customers and bring in new customers by word of mouth - they go viral! And going digital with SMS Marketing is the way to go, specially if you have a digital loyalty program! 1) Everyone has a website and will tell you this even if they dont!!!! 2) The minute you walk into a local business what ever you market to them they will brand you with that. Example if you walk in and try to sell a website even mobile then thats what they will brand you with! 3) Remember a hundred walked before you and tried to sell them! 4) Price only matters after you got them interested, if they ask what does it cost then its show time. You show them the packages with differant prices! What grabs there attention 1) Loyalty cards and programs 2) SMS coupled with Loyalty card programs 3) SMS programs, systems with appointment reminders, customer waiting notifications and coupon promotion delivery's What are some questions I can ask my prospects to narrow down their problems? So, that I can connect my solution to their problem? A) I usually go into the business and evaluate them 1) Do they use a paging system for waiting customers 2) Do they advertise locally 3) Do they have a website and if so is it mobile ready 4) How busy are they I have something to show them, I have a sample sms system setup to show them. I bring an Ipad and laptop with me. If they have wi fi I can bring up my sms system and show the owner the system. I found that if I show them before I ask any questions there is no confusion! And if they like it they will ask away! It goes like this. Excuse me is the owner here, Ok can I see him, can you please ask him for a minute of his time. when he/she comes I simply have my system up online on my tablet. I say lets say I just walked in to your restaurant and have to wait a few minutes. I enter my name and number into the system. I then say ok now my table is ready watch this and I click and its sends me a text saying my table is ready. This works with non restaurants to example "your watch is ready", "Your car is ready", "Your suit is ready", "Your order is ready", "Your food is ready", Your Meat is ready", "Your prescriptions are ready".... you got the idea! I then say watch this and I go and click to send me a coupon and my phone beeps and I open the text and click a link and show him the sample coupon. I then pull out a printed QR code and scan it (pre setup for there website if they have one) Once scaned their website opens on my mobile phone to there menu page or any page you pre configured to come up!! Then I ask them do you have any questions? Selling SMS and Loyalty card programs is not just a sale its a commitment to help them launch and build there list and program! 1) Flyers and post cards 2) QR codes 3) List build - email, real mail, SMS Ok so once you work with and help setup and work with them and build the list you have to help them send out promotions, discounts special deals to there member list 1) coupons 2) flyers 3) emails 4) mail Once you have success you can get testimonials and recommended friends and other businesses coming to you! 1) word of mouth 2) refferals If you need a good Digital Loyalty card system or an SMS system for yourself or for a client contact me for more information

I'm sorry, I'm not too familiar with all the texting providers. I only know a few by name. But I think a better question would be "who is the best provider for ME?" If the best provider out there costs thousands of dollars to get started, you probably won't be able to afford it starting out. Doesn't matter how great the service is: you're not able to pay for it. So you need to gather as much information as you can about the services that seem most credible to you. Then figure out which is best for you. What's best for one person may not be best for you! Hope this helps your search. |

While Viber and Whatsapp are growing in schools and social groups it still doesn't threaten or take away SMS Marketing. SMS Marketing is here to stay. Now its possible that someday something new may surface and cut cost for mobile phone carriers and become an industry standard. While mobile phone carrier do not want to loose that source of income an app that saves you and I money will not stop sms messaging! SMS Text messaging is here to stay! There are way to many phones out there and not everyone is using these apps on there desktops or phones. It will be a very long time before sms text messaging like email marketing will be threatened or taken away! Fact people need email to pass documents, files and messaging. Fact people need sms messaging to send a message when they cannot get through to another persons phone or do not have time to talk, or simply don't want to talk! Fact mobile phone carriers make profit on text message marketing! Fact ask around your community and see who knows about Viber or Whatsapp. Ask your mom or dad, grand mother or grand father, sisters and brothers if they are using those apps? But I can tell you this even if they are not sending text they are receiving text. Fact all the big corporations and big businesses are using sms marketing! SMS text messaging is strong today and here to stay. Business owners know how powerful this is. Clubs, fraternal organizations know how powerful sms messaging can be. It became an industry standard and its rooted strong. Today more and more are trying there advertising dollar on sms marketing! So SMS service is gonna outdated? not today maybe someday far in the future. |

I doubt SMS will become outdated that quickly, if anything push messages will simply become an additional channel to communicate/market and will complement SMS, Email and Voice.
