I just launched a mobile site builder, with loyalty rewards and SMS. I have a 45% bounce rate, and avg stay time of 1:54. I want to know if you can visit my site and give thoughts and suggestions on how to increase conversion rates. Thanks so much, input from the warrior community is much appreciated. qrlicious.com

Yes sorry, it's QRlicious | We make QR codes work for you! I wonder if the name is throwing people off, but in 6,000 views and no conversion, something is off right...

Overall it's not bad, but it could use some tightening up and do a better job at explaining what you do and why I'd want to go to any of the page links. The first thing I noticed is the headline text is too large in comparison to the other font sizes. Next is that there is a bit too much space around all the page elements (white space around images and text, black space in your top banner). The video is, on my monitor, half-way 'below the fold' and nothing is pointing to it or telling me why I should want to click on it. Your top headline text is "All the tools to make QR codes successful." That isn't very personal to your viewer. Perhaps try "All the tools you need to make successful QR codes." Or "All the tools you need to succeed with QR codes." The subheading below is a bit long for the 'equals' usage. It's like writing 2+2+2+2+2=10 and expecting the reader is willing to count up that many twos to agree with the total. I'd take out the equal and replace the pluses with bullets or separators, so the services you can provide are a statement. You could go one further and make each a link to more information about that service. You have two buttons for the site builder, but nothing enticing someone to try it. "Try our mobile site builder. Click here to get started!" "Your business could have a mobile site in 5 minutes with our easy site builder. Click here to get started!" "See how our services can help your business attract mobile customer with our easy site builder. Click here to get started!" Centralization has been over-used on the page. All the elements are central, except the banner navigation. This includes the mobile feature blurbs, which have text centred in their columns. Add in that the text is a bit small and grey (in firefox and chrome) and it's not very easy to read. My eyes just want to skip past it. Your visual cues for links is inconsistent. Banner links are white with a blue on-hover. Page links are grey with no underline and turn a different blue on-hover (resource section) or blue and underlined (partners). This is a bit of a quibble on my part, but someone as picky about these details may notice. The page otherwise looks nice. Not too many images, not too few, and colour choices are fine. |

Here are a few suggestions with your home page: 1. Change your USP "All The Tools To Make QR Codes Successful" to something your customers can relate with and how your services will help them. Example: "Drive more traffic to your store with QR Codes" 2. Test and see if the background makes a difference. The "grid-style" background might be distracting. Change it to just white and see if this has an impact. (who knows maybe the grid-style is actually better) 3. The video is too big. Make it a little smaller and change the splash image. Too me, it's to "cartoonish" and you're trying to attract professionals. 4. Add buttons below each service listed on the home page under the video. Put a button under the text so the visitor can learn more about that specific service and have it take them to the dedicated service page you created for each service that I see listed under the service menu on the toolbar. Don't make them scroll back up to learn more about a service that has peaked their interest. |

I'm on my phone and its taking a long time to load everything, at first it took about 20seconds so I refreshed the page and it loaded right away within a second. I wanted to test that again so I refreshed the site again and it took about 1 minute.

Thanks Clintin, I think I will have a redirect to a mobile site rather then my responsive site. I have to much on my site for mobile. I think that is why it's taking to long

I see you've implemented many of the changes suggested by warriors. My input, then, is not so much at the site design, as at your traffic targeting. QR Codes are both outdated to many people I've talked to AND are still technically over the heads of most business people. BUT if you're targeting the right people, they will understand and see the value of what you're offering. The question is, are you targeting them correctly? If you can drive the right kind of prospect to your site, your conversions could increase. Maybe you already are driving the right kind of prospect, and your low conversions are due to the site elements. But maybe even with the right site elements in place, your low conversions are due to the wrong type of prospect viewing the site. Just a thought. Also, I would probably orient the general thrust of the site away from the QR Code itself and as other warriors noted above in talking about the headline or the benefit, focus on what you can do for a business - bring them more revenue, increase loyalty etc. Your video and your site DO touch on what the customer needs, but a stronger focus up front on that even more, their pain, instead of on HOW (the technical, the QR code) might help. You have a cool product, and you're in love with it, as you should be. But the product to a prospect is secondary to the result they need to get. Hope that helps. Just want to say good work, it's clear a lot of work went into your site. |

Thank you for the input. This bring up a question, do I change the name? QR codes are not practical, they are a tool, but not a widely popular one to use. My name is QRlicious is becasue back in 2010 we got well known for designed QR codes, but we obviously grew beyond QR codes. So, should I change my name to be more mobile friendly?

I think you did a pretty good job seeing how hard it was to navigate through the Tappinn site. I went to that site after reading your post.

I like the template you are using, but you could increase the size of mobile phone images, and even put some more images in it.
