What is a fair monthly maintenance fee to charge for updates for a mobile website? I know there is the variable of how much the customer wants to update each time as far as time is involved. I am in the Baltimore/Washington area. Lets use a restaurant for example, twice a week menu change monthly maintenance fee once a week menu change monthly maintenance fee once a month menu change monthly maintenance fee also how can you charge for hosting a mobile site when it should be uploaded into their regular website? can you use a link from the redirect code to the mobile version that you are hosting for the customer? seems that would make updates to mobile sites easier if I host the mobile website. thoughts? |

Instead of working with 1 restaurant at a time I prefer to set up a "Mobile Restaurant Directory" where I list restaurants in Alphabetical Order by cuisine. I host these on my server and, with a Directory, I can sell restaurants that don't have a website. I create 1 page, using a photo and a paragraph about their biz, a Tap To Call button and a Map of where they're located. I also include a Lunch and Dinner Menu. Here's one I set up for a buddy who didn't follow thru; www.mobisiteindex.com/princeton Only the 1st 2 listings (American & BBQ) are live. I then proceed to set up a 11x14 Plastic Display Stand I set on the Front Desk of local 10 to 15 local Hotels. The Stand has a QR Code with pictures of plates of food and the words; "Scan Here To Find Places To Eat or Have Food Delivered to Your Room"! Re: Pricing; I started off with $150/mo per restaurant and am now up to $250/mo ea because of 2 things; 1) Participating Restaurants get and Exclusive for their cuisine 2) They reach people who; Have Money, Are Hungry and carry a Cell Phone I prefer "Monthly residuals" rather than "One-Offs" Don Alm |
