Mobile App Template

I'm a mobile apps developer and I'm looking to build a template for an app for businesses. Something that I can sell at a fixed price and just throw together in an hour rather than hours or days. The only problem I am having is that after hours of Googling around, I have yet to find a common ground for what most businesses would want in a mobile app.

So my main questions here are:

If your a business owner, what would you look for in a mobile application?
Do you think I should start emailing known businesses to see what they would want?
What other ways could I research this, since Google has not provided me results?

I am a software developer myself and I sell a lot mobile apps to Affiliate Marketers and here is what I have have found they want:

1) Must include Google AdMob Ads
2) Must be switchable remotely from AdMob to Amazon ads in case AdMob account gets closed
3) Must be MASS APPEAL--the theme of the App should never be for one company, product or service but should offer something everybody wants like free Music and Movies. I add 6 BILLION hours of free Music and Movies to all my Apps.
4) Must have the ability to post ads to the app from their website.

Thanks for the suggestions! Those are some good points. I wasn't really planning to develop these templates with affiliate marketing in mind (I have another idea for that though, but it's for another day). I'm thinking more along the lines of what exactly do people want, like if they want a page describing there business, or a page with a map and directions to their business. That kind of stuff. I figure those are probably the most common functionality requests, but i'm looking for other requests that might stand out. Something I haven't thought of yet.
