I am trying to find an SMS reseller company that you know to be reliable. There's two companies that I like Lime Cellular and Avid Mobile, but their plans are around $200 month, which is a lot unless you already have several clients. Any suggestions?

You might take a look at MobileBizBox. They are a Lime reseller, but also includes QR codes, mobile apps, mobile websites and a bunch of other bundled stuff. I have been a member for over two years. Not cheap, but the 177 per month includes 3000 short codes SMS messages per month as well as unlimited mobile apps. They have a free trial. As of January 2014, they are actually partially owned by Lime. Not an affiliate link, just a happy client who spent several months on their support team for mobile apps. |

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. Still continuing to research. Yeptext doesn't appear to have a reseller option. |

I want to be able to offer both self serve as well as value added where we send out texts on behalf of companies. Right now there doesn't seem to be anything less than 200 month if you want short codes and keywords. |

For start you should find clients for which you going to send messages. Find someone who don't need short codes, just sending simple marketing message. You will earn enough money to upgrade your offer to short codes and keywords. I think it's a better solution. Maybe it's slower but in that case you can evaluate your business with less money.

Opening up a white label business should be viewed as an investment and new entrepreneurial venture. With that being said, to receive a top notch platform with plenty of customer support and training, you're going to have to make that initial financial investment.

I resell mobile apps for a company called Bizness Apps. Not affiliated at all, just a fan and supporter.

Although I haven't signed up beyond the trial, I have played around with Lime Cellular platform and it is quite impressive. I disagree with the investment part, any SMS company could offer lower level plans for less, say $50 a month, with obviously less texts available or charge more per message in that plan.

The investment part speaks to what you get as a white label reseller. It's like shopping around for a good CRM system, there's a huge difference in both price and quality when going from Salesforce to a no name CRM. With that being said, that's the same in the instance of white label reseller platforms. The type of product, service and training you receive will vary significantly. In terms of retail pricing, that's entirely up to you. If you want to sell at $50 than that's your choice as a white label reseller. But your comparison is not apples to apples here. |

It's understandable that you might be hesitant to pour a lot of money into something you aren't sure will bring a return on your investment. That's the nature of investing. We offer, I think, quite an attractive deal. A lot of people have bought our platform and have been very satisfied with it - check the link in my signature. |

I agree kcom. I planned on using YEPTEXT and was suckered into buying (which I am refunding) Mobil Media Marketing course that wasnèt really any more informative than I already knew. I was on the understanding that YEPTEXT could be done anywhere in the world, which it can but not locally, meaning I canèt walk into an establishment in my small town. I would have to be in the states to do that. Then the redirect "If you don't live in the US" got me and I thought ohh here we go even more money that I don't have. These 3 other redirect companies are all in the UK and they require hundreds of dollars for just one keyword. I was sold on the Mobile course because of the info on Horowitz's YEPTEXT plan of a free month, with a keyword and 100 messages. Even his next level tier I could afford to at least get a few clients to opt in for FREE for the first month but now I am back to square one. You have to meet with business owners face to face in order to market this stuff and a small town Nova Scotia guy contacting a business in the US either by phone or back to the e-mails ( which Adam insists doesn't work this day and age) well has be baffled. There was a mention of coming soon. My god Canada was never mentioned in any of his videos, it was the US or Europe. We are one of the most technologically up to date countries on the planet and not to mention Alexander Graham Bell the grandfather of phones beginning was from Baddeck, right here in Nova Scotia. Come on give me a break, after 4 years and he can't add "Bell", Telus and Rogers to name a few here in Canada so that we can make this work?

You can actually text-enable long code numbers and have people text into them with keywords. With regards to price, they only cost $1-2 a month, as opposed to $3-5K for a short code. The one thing you have to keep in mind with long codes is you can only send about 30 messages per second, as opposed to 300 messages with long codes. It ultimately depends on the volume of messages you want to send and how many people your customers would want to reach. |

Generally speaking for mass business grade texting, you should be sending messages via short code instead of long codes. More reliable and quick delivery.
