I don't think anyone saw it coming

Did anyone see it coming? Facebook ads are now starting to decrease in effectiveness due to the increase of mobile phone usage. You don't see ads on your phone when you're browsing your feed. Is this the end of Facebook ads? Or at least the downfall?

There are so many people using facebook on their PCs and even those using facebook on mobile some of them accessing facebook with full html browsers like dolphin and firefox that display facebook in desktop format. So, a significant portion, or rather, the majority of facebook users, are still seeing ads.
