Can someone please point me in the right direction. I want to offer text message marketing to clients. What services can I use to do this?

Hi Benny,

You can do sms marketing campaigns for your customers. With standard letters you can put in one message 160 characters. You can randomize your sender ID (what will be appear to recipients). Prices depends from network to network.

plenty of SMS providers exist, some with many bells & whistles (survey options, polling, trivia capabilities, etc)..however, all you need to get started is a simple SMS plugin. Next go via twilio to send messages. Ideally you'll want to use a short code as that's the preferred method to send SMS. i've encountered poor send deliverability using long codes in high frequency. I was sending 1000's of messages daily. Getting a short code will solve that problem.

Next just choose a vertical and you'll be good to go. I got started in this space and i'm somewhat intimate with SMS. I've built my offline company with primarily SMS before branching out to other services.

But start simple, and progress as needed. Hope that helps.

I recommend carefully considering what kind of amounts you're going to be sending, shopping around and finding out the prices that various services offer, and then thinking about how much you want to spend in total. If you don't do your research, it can come back to haunt you later when you're locked into a service, having paid for your subscription in advance, and decide that you want to increase the amount of SMSes you're sending but realize that their prices are too high. So yeah, definitely do your research and find out as much information as possible from the people running them as possible.
