Just How Low a SCUM Would You Get to Become a Billionaire?

For the past few weeks, the whole of Hong Kong had been agog at the largest inheritance battle that the world had ever seen. It is over the multi-billion fortune of Nina Wang, who was Asia's richest woman and who died in 2007.

On one side was a charitable organization set up by Nina Wang, to which Wang bequeathed everything in a meticulously drawn up will in 2002

On the other side is Tony Chan, a fung shui master who presented a rather odd will in supposedly drawn up by Nina Wang in 2002.

Nina Wang had always been an eccentric. Her husband Teddy Wang had been kidnapped twice and was murdered during the second kidnapping in 1990. After her husband was declared dead, Nina Wang herself then fought a fierce inheritance battle with her father in law. It actually got to one stage when she was arrested on suspicion for producing a fake will but all was overturned in her favour eventually by our court of final appeal. However, there is still a lot of doubt about that judgement in peoples' mind.

Nobody knew much about Tony Chan before he made the claim except that he was already wealthy. But extremely shocking details started to emerge from this trial.

1. He has already leeched almost US$400 million from Nina Wang for "fung shui" services. Wang gave him 3 payments of US$88 million each between 2005-6.

2. As a result of that, he was able to buy a private jet, a helicopter, luxury yatchts, properties and a string of luxury cars. Now note only 10-20 individuals have private jets here despite many more having stupendous wealth. This contrasts sharply with Nina Wang and her dead husband, who used to eat cheap fast food, drive a cheap Japanese car and lived in a small flat.

3. He claimed to be Nina Wang's lover, despite being younger than her for more than 20 years. Although anything is possible, most people who know Nina Wang do not believe it. Also if he loved Nina Wang so much, why did he remained marreid to his wife during all this time and have 3 children by her?

4. Nina Wang is alleged to have wanted to have a baby even after the age of 50 years, perhaps being inseminated by a Nobel prize winner. Tony Chan claimed that Nina wanted his baby and he apparentely encouraged her to have hormonal treatment that may have contributed to her cancer. When she was already seriously ill, she often postponed treatment at his "fung shui" advice.

As far as the will is concerned, there is already a lot of doubt. The two witnesses to the will does not recognize its contents as what they saw. Also, even the handwriting expert originally employed by Tony Chan throught the signitures may not be genuine and Tony Chan' s team had to replace him.

Since this trial had started, Hong Kong had been shaken to the core. Everyday and everywhere, I could hear people discussing this trial and mentioning Tony Chan's name in utter disgust. In fact, many just want to vomit all over the place. He is definitely now the most despised and hated person in Hong Kong. Almost everybody I have talked wants him locked in jail, beaten or have something horrible happen to him. One thing which really disgusted people is how he is destroying Nina Wang' reputation completely.

In fact just yesterday at an activity clase for my 5 year daughter. The tutor warned not to reward kids with money too much or else they will end up like Tony Chan whose greed knows all bounds. If you want to read up more about this, just seach for "Nina Wang" in Google news

Nina Wang: Tony Chan, Alleged Lover Of Asia's Richest Woman, Defends Claim To Her Fortune | World News | Sky News

Whatever the truth is, it is clear that Nina Wang was utterly crazy. If there is any fortune that is cursed, it is that one. Already two full featured films had resulted from her husband's kidnapping and murder. I don't know how many more will result from this.

Here are pictures of Nina Wang and Tony Chan

Hope that's a typo. If not, I'm on the next plane to Hong Kong!

Yup, I have made the corrections. The truth of the matter is that this would not have come out if not for the court case. He could have just lived the life of an unknown tycoon.

The real "fung shui" master are really scared of the potential damage to their image and business

Nina Wang's own inheritance battle with her father in law is worth several books and films on its own. That left a sore taste in a lot of people's mouth as the will produced by her was extremely suspicious and the witness was already dead. Two lower courts had judged it to be a fake and she was arrested at one state. But somehome, the court of final appeal passed judgement in her favour without even bothering to wait for the results of the police investigation. This led to a lot of people losing faith in our justice system.

Anyway, we had just been treated to one week of testimoney from Tony Chan which insults everybody's intelligence. Now his wife had testified as well. She claimed that when they mover in quick succession from low cost housing to super-luxury housing, she didn't asked her husband where the money came from because she wasn't a "greedy person". She also claimd that Nina Want who was more than 20 years hew seniour called her "godmother"

I really hope that he does not win this case. I know a lot of people thinks money is the most important thing in life but this is just getting too far.

By the way, I am sure some people would be kicking themselves now that they have missed their chance with Leona Helmsley. Just think that you may now be in the Forbe's billionaire list if you have had sex with her.

To me, people give off a vibe by their facial features. That guy is full of sh*t, you can see it in his eyes. I bet he's the kind of guy that always has a big smile on his face and always quick to shake hands and kiss babies. He's the kind of guy that is always on a PR tour from the time he wakes up until he goes to bed every single day because he knows that reality is mostly perception. I wouldnt trust him as far as i could spit him.

She looks like she's nuts. Any woman of her age still wearing pigtails and mini skirts is probably a little off.

Yes, i completely believe that eyes are the windows to the soul. Thats the first thing i look at when i meet someone. I"m kind of a student of the human form, but not purposely. For some reason i just check out people's body language, facial features, eyes..etc. Eyes will tell you a lot about a person

Nina Wang, The World's Richest People - Forbes.com

The eccentricities of Nina Wang were well known in Hong Kong before she died. Among which were

1 . She spent less than US$650 in personal spending per month, not including her 50 body guards though.
    2. She wore pigtails and miniskirts all the time including when meeting partners and her subcontractors at her company meetings. On many occasions, the other party asked for her to be chucked out of the meeting before being told she was the owner.
    3. She paid US$264 million to dig three "fung shui" holes. Although Tony Chan now claims that they were lovers' gifts, she also paid another fung shui master US$42 million for a fung shui ceremony before she died.
    4. She believed she was a budhist spiritual master, and that beads (sarira) would be found inside her body.
    5. At nearly 60, she started having fertility treatment in the hope of having a baby by a Nobel prize winner through artificial insemination.

But still, many people were horrified at claims that Tony Chan made about Nina Wang, and how her reputation was being completely dragged through the mud for his personal gain.

The charity was her own and is managed by her younger brother and sisters, two of whom are practicing doctors in the U.S. She left detailed instruction with them about how the charity would be run, which including the setting up of a Chinese version of the Nobel prize. Therefore it was very surprising how that such a meticulously planned will would be superseded by one giving everything to Tony Chan. This is especially odd since she and Tony Chan had not met for 3 years before 2005. Tony Chan said that he wanted to settle with the charitable organization so that the case would not go to court. But Nina Wang's brother and sisters would have none of it.

Yup, we have been treated to his smirking face appearing in all our newspapers and online news sites all week. It seems that his 3 brothers have the same horrible smile.

The super-rich have definitely got something to worry about here. We have the record of the highest ever kidnap ransom ever paid, that is US$128 million paid by Li Ka Shing for his son Victor Li. Walter Kwok, another billionaire was thought to have been kidnapped by the same gang and paid US$77 million for his release.

Nina Wang's husband had been kidnapped before, she paid US$10 million for his release. But he was quickly kidnapped again and was thought to have been thrown overboard a boat. It is thought that some of his employees were behind it partly as a result of harsh treatment by him.

Nina Wang sounds like she was quite a character. In the U.S., Leona Hemsley aka "The Queen of Mean" also had a mysterious younger paramour whom she enriched as did one of the cosmetic queens. I believe it was Estee Lauder. These are two additional deceased female billionaires.

As a bona fide member of the thousand-aire club I know these things.

This is the actual 2006 will giving everything to Tony Chan. Imagine giving away a multi-billion dollar fortune with such a simple will. Just look at the number of grammar mistakes! Also Nina Wang was a budhist who believed in reincarnation, not in a single god. Also, the witnesses to this "will" say the contents was not what they saw. The 2002 will bequeathing everything to the Chinachem charitable foundation was propertly drawn up at a solicitor's office.

When one is announcing the following will that I have written, I would have rested heavenly in peace.
      Here is my will:
All of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, of every kind and description, wherever situated and whether now owned or hereafter acquired, including any power of appointment, I give, devise, and bequeath to Mr Chan Chun Chuen(HKID_______), who was born in Hong Kong on______.
To my belief, Mr Chan Chun Chuen, will be capable of determining the distribution and use of my estate in a good and proper way. My will is established entirely and wholeheartedly for the need and good of my family and loved ones. It is my great appreciation that my will could be announced fairly and righteously as stated.
I am deeply and thankfully convinced that my will is proudly guided with God help. I thank you all.

On a lighter note, there is a poem circulating around Hong Kong and China at the momment entitled the "Ode to the Scum of the Century"
