Strange. Very Strange.

Reminiscent of sound effects from some 50's alien b-movie, this is one of the weirdest things I've seen/listened to. Apparently it's called "polyphonic overtone singing" and has gone viral this weekend with over a million plays.
Enjoy

That is just some strange freaking stuff.

I can't even get one note right. That's why I dance instead.

Reminds me of Tuvan throat singing.

One of the most amazing things I've ever heard. I would have thought that it was impossible to do. Certainly beyond my understanding.

Let me guess. If you were told about this, and not shown the video, you would bet anything that this was impossible like anything which is beyond your understanding, call people who claim this ability liars, consider people who believe in this stuff morons, and to make your point, compare it to other silly stuff that some people believe.

Why do you think it's possible? Just because you saw a video of some chick supposedly singing two notes at once?

That's odd of you to so easily accept something as fact. Are you feeling okay?

I think I'm going to take your post at face value. The answer may be more interesting.

The woman in the video can do something that it simply never occurred to me, that anyone could do. And it's beautiful. Why don't I doubt it? Because, as far as I know, it doesn't violate known physical laws. Now, if she was singing...and levitating...I may not be so impressed. And, the claims I hear, that I jump on, usually violate known physical laws. What this woman does is amazing...but as far as I know, not impossible.

        It also helps that I went on Youtube and listened to 2 other singers do about the same thing. But this lady really has a surreal ability. I also read this on Wikipedia, and it made sense to me.;

"The partials (fundamental and overtones) of a sound wave made by the human voice can be selectively amplified by changing the shape of the resonant cavities of the mouth, larynx and pharynx."

How the heck would you train your brain to do all that?

Certainly not impossible, Claude: the physicist Richard Feynmann wrote about this.

("Very strange" certainly seems fair comment, though? ).

Ha, you think we are going to let you get away with this?

You see an attractive girl with an interesting rack who sounds like a rack mount synth and go all gooey brained for a second. Oh, how amazing, thanks for posting, she has an outstanding pair of lungs, how can she do that?.

Her real names Polly Synth and she tours around Europe with her husband Roland on a Yamaha giving demonstrations.

And let me tell you something, I can do what she does, ok, not as attractive and unable to go quite so far but I can do a 2 voice synth sound pretty much like she does. She has taken it to the art form level though I will grant you that. However, that's pretty much all you can do is to sound like a 2 voice poly-synth. You basically do a nasal hum and at the same time you can make a whistling sound, try it.

And I have boobs to, man boobs, and not just any man boobs but proper ones with real Goatee hair.

          There, I said it.
