    Note to the CNN anouncer, the correct name is Smokey Bear, there should be no "the". The campaigne was named from a real bear saved from a forest fire in New Mexico many years ago.

      This wasn't CNN - look at the logo again. It was the Onion.

      Not that we shouldn't get tougher on fire starters. There's an area of Oregon (Warm Springs area) that some dumb tourists set on fire every damned year. Just as one section starts to regrow some idiot kills it again.
